Model evaluation and selection in multiple nonlinear regression analysis
The main problem in regression model selection is finding the best model that best fits the data, i.e. it does not neither overfit nor underfit. The aim of this work is to show one of possible ways to find adequate nonlinear regression models (parametric)

Aggressive prostate cancer is associated with pericyte dysfunction
Tumor‐produced TGF‐β drives pericyte dysfunction in prostate cancer. This dysfunction is characterized by downregulation of some canonical pericyte markers (i.e., DES, CSPG4, and ACTA2) while maintaining the expression of others (i.e., PDGFRB, NOTCH3, and RGS5).

Screening for lung cancer: A systematic review of overdiagnosis and its implications
Low‐dose computed tomography (CT) screening for lung cancer may increase overdiagnosis compared to no screening, though the risk is likely low versus chest X‐ray. Our review of 8 trials (84 660 participants) shows added costs. Further research with strict adherence to modern nodule management strategies may help determine the extent to which ...

Design of the distributed control systems of hydrolithosphere processes
The important problem of designing of control systems for the hydrolithosphere processes is considered. Many hydrolithosphere processes are known to be described by partial differential equations (belonging to the class of distributed objects), which ...

Synthesis of Four-Link Initial Kinematic Chains with Spherical Pairs for Spatial Mechanisms
This research addresses the problem of the initial synthesis of kinematic chains with spherical kinematic pairs, which are essential in the design of spatial mechanisms used in robotics, aerospace, and mechanical systems.

Urinary LGALS3BP is elevated in bladder cancer patients compared to healthy controls as detected by the 1959 antibody–based ELISA. The antibody shows enhanced reactivity to the high‐mannose glycosylated variant secreted by cancer cells treated with kifunensine (KIF).

Existence of global solutions to a semilinear thermoelastic system in three dimensions
In this paper, we establish the global existence of weak solutions to a semilinear thermoelastic system on a bounded domain in R3 ${\mathbb{R}}^{3}$ . Specifically, we assume that the nonlinear term in the momentum equation is defocusing energy critical.
