LDAcoop: Integrating non‐linear population dynamics into the analysis of clonogenic growth in vitro

open access: yesMolecular Oncology, EarlyView.
Limiting dilution assays (LDAs) quantify clonogenic growth by seeding serial dilutions of cells and scoring wells for colony formation. The fraction of negative wells is plotted against cells seeded and analyzed using the non‐linear modeling of LDAcoop.

A posteriori error estimates of spectral method for nonlinear parabolic optimal control problem

open access: yesJournal of Inequalities and Applications, 2018
In this paper, we investigate the spectral approximation of optimal control problem governed by nonlinear parabolic equations. A spectral approximation scheme for the nonlinear parabolic optimal control problem is presented. We construct a fully discrete

Infrared laser sampling of low volumes combined with shotgun lipidomics reveals lipid markers in palatine tonsil carcinoma

open access: yesMolecular Oncology, EarlyView.
Nanosecond infrared laser (NIRL) low‐volume sampling combined with shotgun lipidomics uncovers distinct lipidome alterations in oropharyngeal squamous cell carcinoma (OPSCC) of the palatine tonsil. Several lipid species consistently differentiate tumor from healthy tissue, highlighting their potential as diagnostic markers.

Mean Convergence Rate of Derivatives by Lagrange Interpolation on Chebyshev Grids

open access: yesDiscrete Dynamics in Nature and Society, 2011
We consider the rate of mean convergence of derivatives by Lagrange interpolation operators based on the Chebyshev nodes. Some estimates of error of the derivatives approximation in terms of the error of best approximation by polynomials are derived. Our

Approximation Errors of Online Sparsification Criteria [PDF]

open access: yesIEEE Transactions on Signal Processing, 2015
Many machine learning frameworks, such as resource-allocating networks, kernel-based methods, Gaussian processes, and radial-basis-function networks, require a sparsification scheme in order to address the online learning paradigm. For this purpose, several online sparsification criteria have been proposed to restrict the model definition on a subset ...

Peroxidasin enables melanoma immune escape by inhibiting natural killer cell cytotoxicity

open access: yesMolecular Oncology, EarlyView.
Peroxidasin (PXDN) is secreted by melanoma cells and binds the NK cell receptor NKG2D, thereby suppressing NK cell activation and cytotoxicity. PXDN depletion restores NKG2D signaling and enables effective NK cell–mediated melanoma killing. These findings identify PXDN as a previously unrecognized immune evasion factor and a potential target to improve

An accurate relationship between frequency and amplitude to nonlinear oscillations

open access: yesJournal of Taibah University for Science, 2018
A weighted global error minimization (WGEM) is proposed in this study. The goal is to improve the accuracy of the global error minimization (GEM) based on a weighting function.

Fuzzy Systems Based on Regular Vague Partitions and Their Approximation Properties [PDF]

open access: yesJisuanji kexue
This paper is devoted to investigating the approximation problem of fuzzy systems based on different fuzzy basis functions.Firstly, the multi-dimensional regular vague partitions are established based on one-dimensional regular vague partitions and ...
