About the rate of rational approximation of some analytic functions
The article is devoted to results relating to the theory of rational approximation of an analytic function. Let ƒ be an analytic function on the disk {z : |z| < ñ), ñ > 1. The rate of decrease of the best approximations ñn of a function ƒ by the rational

Results on analytic functions defined by Laplace-Stieltjes transforms with perfect ϕ-type
In this paper, we introduce the concept of the perfect ϕ\phi -type to describe the growth of the maximal molecule of Laplace-Stieltjes transform by using the more general function than the usual.

Approximation of Analytic Functions by Solutions of Cauchy-Euler Equation
We investigate the approximation properties of a special class of twice continuously differentiable functions by solutions of the Cauchy-Euler equation.

Extension of Dasgupta’s Technique for Higher Degree Approximation
In the present paper, rational wedge functions for degree two approximation have been computed over a pentagonal discretization of the domain, by using an analytic approach which is an extension of Dasgupta’s approach for linear approximation.

Analytic approximation of matrix functions in $L^p$
We consider the problem of approximation of matrix functions of class $L^p$ on the unit circle by matrix functions analytic in the unit disk in the norm of $L^p$, $2\le ...

On Joint Approximation of Analytic Functions by Beurling Zeta-Functions
For j=1,…,r, let Pj be a system of generalized prime numbers, NPj the corresponding system of generalized integers, and ζPj(s), s=σ+it, the Beurling zeta-function. In the paper, we consider simultaneous approximation of a collection of analytic functions

Results of the Childhood Cancer and Leukaemia Group's United Kingdom Relapsed Wilms Tumour Trial
ABSTRACT Background The United Kingdom relapsed Wilms tumour (UKW‐R) trial aimed to improve the historically low survival rates after relapse of Wilms tumour (WT) through a prospective national risk‐stratified protocol. The trial also evaluated efficacy and toxicity of high‐dose melphalan.

ABSTRACT Pediatric gastroenteropancreatic neuroendocrine neoplasms (GEP‐NENs) are extremely rare and clinically heterogeneous. Management has largely been extrapolated from adult practice. This European Standard Clinical Practice Guideline (ESCP), developed by the EXPeRT network in collaboration with adult NEN experts, provides (adult) evidence ...

Analytic approximation of rational matrix functions [PDF]
For a rational matrix function $ $ with poles outside the unit circle, we estimate the degree of the unique superoptimal approximation $\A $ by matrix functions analytic in the unit disk. We obtain sharp estimates in the case of $2\times2$ matrix functions. It turns out that ``generically'' $ \A \le\deg -2$.
