Approximation of analytic functions by generalized shifts of the Lerch zeta-function
In the paper, we approximate analytic functions by generalized shifts of the Lerch zeta-function, where g is a certain increasing to real function having a monotonic derivative. We prove that, for arbitrary parameters λ and α, there exists a closed set

Extension of the discrete universality theorem for zeta-functions of certain cusp forms
In the paper, an universality theorem on the approximation of analytic functions by generalized discrete shifts of zeta functions of Hecke-eigen cusp forms is obtained.

Universal radial approximation in spaces of analytic functions
Recently, Charpentier showed that there exist holomorphic functions $f$ in the unit disk such that, for any proper compact subset $K$ of the unit circle, any continuous function $ $ on $K$ and any compact subset $L$ of the unit disk, there exists an increasing sequence $(r_n)_{n\in\mathbb{N}}\subseteq[0,1)$ converging to 1 such that $|f(r_n( -z)+z)-

Calpain small subunit homodimerization is robust and calcium‐independent
Calpains dimerize via penta‐EF‐hand (PEF) domains. Using single‐molecule force spectroscopy, we measured the strength and kinetics of PEF–PEF homodimer binding. The interaction is robust, shows a transient conformational step before dissociation, and remains largely insensitive to Ca2+.

Structural insights into an engineered feruloyl esterase with improved MHET degrading properties
A feruloyl esterase was engineered to mimic key features of MHETase, enhancing the degradation of PET oligomers. Structural and computational analysis reveal how a point mutation stabilizes the active site and reshapes the binding cleft, expading substrate scope.

Approximation of analytic functions by Hermite functions
AbstractWe solve the inhomogeneous Hermite equation and apply this result to estimate the error bound occurring when any analytic function is approximated by an appropriate Hermite function.

A comprehensive genomic and proteomic analysis of cervical cancer revealed STK11 and STX3 as a potential biomarkers of chemoradiation resistance. Our study demonstrated EGFR as a therapeutic target, paving the way for precision strategies to overcome treatment failure and the DNA repair pathway as a critical mechanism of resistance.

Precise analytic approximations for the Bessel function J1(x)
Precise and straightforward analytic approximations for the Bessel function J1(x) have been found. Power series and asymptotic expansions have been used to determine the parameters of the approximation, which is as a bridge between both expansions, and ...
