Approximation of fuzzy numbers by using multi-knots piecewise linear fuzzy numbers

Journal of Intelligent & Fuzzy Systems, 2020
In this paper, the problem of approximating general fuzzy number by using multi-knots piecewise linear fuzzy number is studied. First, r  -  s -knots piecewise linear fuzzy numbers are defined, and the conceptions of the I -nearest r  -

A note on fuzzy-transform approximation of fuzzy numbers

2015 Annual Conference of the North American Fuzzy Information Processing Society (NAFIPS) held jointly with 2015 5th World Conference on Soft Computing (WConSC), 2015
A possibilistic representation of fuzzy numbers/intervals can be obtained in terms of a fuzzy distribution function (the average of the possibility and necessity functions). The fuzzy distribution function is monotonic non decreasing upper-semicontinuous and there exists a simple one-to-one correspondence between the space of such functions and the ...

Width invariant approximation of fuzzy numbers

2016
In this paper, we consider the width invariant trapezoidal and triangularapproximations of fuzzy numbers. The presented methods avoid the effortful computation of Karush-Kuhn-Tucker Theorem. Some properties of the new approximation methods are presented and the applicability of the methods is illustrated by examples.

Approximation of Fuzzy Numbers by F-Transform

International Conference on Information Processing and Management of Uncertainty, 2012
The fuzzy transform setting (F-transform) is proposed as a tool for representation and approximation of type-1 and type-2 fuzzy numbers; the inverse F-transform on appropriate fuzzy partition of the membership interval [0,1] is used to characterize spaces of fuzzy numbers in such a way that arithmetic operations are defined and expressed in terms of ...

On the Interval Approximation of Fuzzy Numbers

International Conference on Information Processing and Management of Uncertainty, 2012
The problem of the interval approximation of fuzzy numbers is discussed. A new family of interval approximation operators based on different distances between fuzzy numbers are considered.

Approximation of Fuzzy Numbers by Using $$\alpha $$ - $$\beta $$ -knots Piecewise Linear Fuzzy Numbers

International Conference on Natural Computation, Fuzzy Systems and Knowledge Discovery, 2019
In this paper, the problems of approximating general fuzzy number by using \(\alpha \)–\(\beta \)–knots piecewise linear fuzzy number are studied. Firstly, \(\alpha \)–\(\beta \)–knots piecewise linear fuzzy number are defined, and the conceptions of nearest \(\alpha -\beta -\)knots piecewise linear approximation and nearest \(\{0,\alpha ,1\}\)–\(\{0 ...
