Molecular characterization of covRS mutations in M1UK Streptococcus pyogenes
Group A Streptococcus (GAS) acquires covRS mutations driving a hypervirulent bacterial state, frequently associated with invasive disease‐like necrotizing fasciitis. We demonstrate that the newly emerged M1UK GAS lineage can also acquire these mutations.

Improved initial approximation for errors-in-variables system identification
Errors-in-variables system identification can be posed and solved as a Hankel structured low-rank approximation problem. In this paper different estimates based on suboptimal low-rank approximations are considered.

On the Degree of Best Approximation of Unbounded Functions by Algebraic Polynomial
In this paper we introduce a new class of degree of best algebraic approximation polynomial Α,, for unbounded functions in weighted space Lp,α(X), 1 ∞ .We shall prove direct and converse theorems for best algebraic approximation in terms modulus ...

On q-Gamma type operators in a polynomial weighted space
The objective of this paper is to examine various approximation properties of the q-Gamma operators developed by Cheng et al. (2020) in the context of a polynomial weighted space. Following that, we modify these operators to investigate the approximation

This systematic review synthesizes prognostic models for survival and recurrence in resected non‐small cell lung cancer. While many models demonstrate moderate to good discrimination, few are externally validated and reporting quality is variable, limiting clinical applicability and highlighting the need for robust, transparent model development ...

Clustering Algorithm Reveals Dopamine‐Motor Mismatch in Cognitively Preserved Parkinson's Disease
ABSTRACT Objective To explore the relationship between dopaminergic denervation and motor impairment in two de novo Parkinson's disease (PD) cohorts. Methods n = 249 PD patients from Parkinson's Progression Markers Initiative (PPMI) and n = 84 from an external clinical cohort.

Efficiency of Public Goods Provision in Space [PDF]
This article incorporates a political decision process into an urban land use model to predict the likely location of a public good. It fills an important gap in the literature by modeling the endogenous location of open space.

ABSTRACT Introduction Progressive Supranuclear Palsy (PSP) is a neurodegenerative ‘tauopathy’ with predominating pathology in the basal ganglia and midbrain. Caudal tau spread frequently implicates the cerebellum; however, the pattern of atrophy remains equivocal.

On Best Approximation By Rational And Holomorphic Mappings Between Banach Spaces
After proving a generalized version of Garkavi's theorem, we give as applications proofs of existence results on best approximation by polynomials, and fractional linear and holomorphic operators between Banach spaces.
