Luminescence, Volume 41, Issue 10, October 2026.Pyrrolo[3,4‐b]pyridin‐5‐ones are assembled in one pot manner through an Ugi‐Zhu reaction coupled to a cascade sequence (aza Diels‐Alder/N‐acylation/decarboxylation/dehydration). Pyrrolo[3,4‐b]pyridin‐5‐ones are fluorescence probes for local viscosity, polarity, protic environments, and solid‐state emission.

Graphite Formation From CO2 Electroreduction in a Synergistic Ionic Liquid–Liquid Metal System
ChemCatChem, Volume 18, Issue 20, 28 October 2026.Cerium catalysed conversion of CO2 to graphite is applied with the use of ionic liquids (ILs) as the electrolyte. The resulting combination provides promising faradic efficiencies and Raman‐determined graphitic quality, presenting a new tool in the application of this new approach to carbon capture.

Role of Alcohol Solvents in Glucose Isomerization and Etherification in Modulated UiO‐66
ChemCatChem, Volume 18, Issue 20, 28 October 2026.Alcohol solvents play an important role in driving the selective conversion of glucose to fructose in metal‐organic framework catalysts. Methanol, a more acidic solvent, drives the unselective etherification of glucose to glucosides, whereas 1‐propanol, a less acidic solvent, yields significantly higher selectivities to fructose.
