Fibrinolysis protease receptors promote activation of astrocytes to express pro-inflammatory cytokines. [PDF]
BACKGROUND:Astrocytes contribute to the crosstalk that generates chronic neuro-inflammation in neurological diseases; however, compared with microglia, astrocytes respond to a more limited continuum of innate immune system stimulants.

TFEB dynamics during oxidative stress‐induced premature senescence. The tBHP treatment undermines GSH‐dependent antioxidant mechanisms, leading to increased ROS production and lysosomal damage. In the stress phase, we observed the concomitant inhibition of Akt along with activation of AMPK, together leading to mTOR inhibition and subsequent ...

Mice and mouse embryonic fibroblasts homozygous for an Actg1 allele edited to translate β‐actin instead of γ‐actin (Actg1‐coding beta) are devoid of γ‐actin protein. We demonstrate that these Actg1c‐b/c‐b mice present with no measurable phenotype in survival, body mass, activity, muscle contractility, or auditory function.
