Enhanced Intracellular Stability and Translation Efficiency of mRNA Drugs by a 2‐arm mRNA Platform

open access: yesAdvanced Science, EarlyView.
We constructed a 2‐arm mRNA, characterized by a unique topology formed through the dimerization of two mRNA 3’ tails. The 2‐arm mRNA improves 3’ tail stability and resistance to nuclease degradation, resulting in an intracellular half‐life of up to 65 h. This method substantially enhances the translation capacity of mRNA drugs.

Variations in activated partial thromboplastin time and prothrombin time in individuals of A, B, AB, and O blood groups

open access: yesIraqi Journal of Hematology, 2018
Background: Differences in blood group have been associated with predisposition to some diseases. Activated partial thromboplastin time (APTT) measures the efficiency of the intrinsic and common coagulation pathways, whereas prothrombin time (PT) test ...

Leptin May Promote Eosinophilic CRSwNP Progression by Enhancing Eosinophil Chemotaxis and Angiogenesis Under a Type 2 Inflammatory Milieu

open access: yesInternational Forum of Allergy &Rhinology, EarlyView.
ABSTRACT Background Chronic rhinosinusitis with nasal polyp (CRSwNP) is a heterogeneous Type 2 inflammatory disease characterized by enhanced eosinophilic infiltration. Both innate and adaptive immunity are involved in the onset and progression of CRSwNP.

Variability in ACT Response to Standard UFH Bolus During PCI: A Prospective Study on Determinants of Subtherapeutic Anticoagulation

open access: yesCatheterization and Cardiovascular Interventions, EarlyView.
ABSTRACT Background Unfractionated heparin (UFH) remains the standard anticoagulant during percutaneous coronary intervention (PCI), with guidelines recommending a target activated clotting time (ACT) of ≥250 s. However, despite receiving a standardized bolus dose, many patients fail to achieve this target.

Prothrombine and activated partial thromboplastin time are prolonged in hepatic cirrhosis

open access: yesUniversa Medicina, 2016
Background Chronic hepatitis and hepatic cirrhosis are chronic liver diseases that cause disorders of liver function, such as the formation of platelets and coagulation factors (prothrombin time/PT and activated partial thromboplastin time/APTT ...

THE EVALUATION OF HEALTHY CHILDREN WITH INCIDENTAL PROLONGATION OF PROTHROMBIN OR ACTIVATED PARTIAL THROMBOPLASTIN TESTS

open access: yesHematology, Transfusion and Cell Therapy, 2021
Objective: This cross-sectional study aimed to reveal possible hemostatic disorders in patients referred to the Pediatric Hematology Department due to the prolongation of the prothrombin test (PT) or activated partial thromboplastin test (aPTT ...

Comparative study of sulfated polysaccharides from Caulerpa spp. (Chlorophyceae). Biotechnological tool for species identification? - doi: 10.4025/actascibiolsci.v34i4.8976

open access: yesActa Scientiarum: Biological Sciences, 2012
Studies on macromolecules isolated from marine algae suggested sulfated polysaccharides (SPs) as possible molecular markers for species. We evaluated isolated and fractionated SPs from the green marine algae Caulerpa cupressoides, C.
