Animals must match their growth rate to available nutrients. We show that in Drosophila larvae, the nutrient‐sensing TOR kinase controls growth by regulating levels of TFAM, a key regulator of mitochondrial function, in the adipose tissue. When nutrients are abundant, high TOR activity suppresses TFAM, lowering mitochondrial bioenergetic activity and ...

Dimethyl fumarate (DMF) reduces growth of HPV‐positive cervical cancer spheroids and induces ferroptosis in cervical cancer cells via blocking SLC7A11/Glutathione (GSH) axis. Combination of subcytotoxic doses of DMF and cisplatin (CDDP) further suppresses spheroid growth and drives cell death in 2D culture models.

Chlorogenic acid removal during aqueous processing of sunflower kernels
The effect of incorporating specific stages to remove phenolic compounds during aqueous processing of sunflower, to obtain oil of good quality and meal of light color was studied. The aqueous process removes 88 % of the chlorogenic acid initially present

A urine‐based digital PCR assay targeting two hotspot TERT promoter variants detected bladder cancer with high sensitivity and no false positives in this case–control cohort. The streamlined AbsoluteQ workflow outperformed Sanger sequencing and supports non‐invasive molecular testing for bladder cancer detection.

Aqueous processing of lithium (ion) battery cathodes based on Ni‐rich layered oxides like LiNi0.83Co0.12Mn0.05O2 (NCM) can reduce costs, increase sustainability, and pave the way for F‐free, e.g., biopolymeric binders, however, the degradation of water ...

Impact of Aerosol-Cloud Cycling on Aqueous Secondary Organic Aerosol Formation
Chemical processing of organic material in aqueous atmospheric aerosols and cloudwater is known to form secondary organic aerosols (SOA), although the extent to which each of these processes contributes to total aerosol mass is unclear. In this study, we

The novel styrylquinazolinone‐based molecule W1B effectively suppresses glioblastoma by inhibiting IGF1R and EGFR. In high‐glucose microenvironments driving tumor resistance, W1B acts synergistically with the EGFR inhibitor dacomitinib. This combination safely blocks compensatory survival signaling in zebrafish xenograft models. Showcasing promising in
