Lipid Nanoparticles for the Delivery of CRISPR/Cas9 Machinery to Enable Site‐Specific Integration of CFTR and Mutation‐Agnostic Disease Rescue

open access: yesAdvanced Functional Materials, EarlyView.
Lipid nanoparticles (LNPs) are optimized to co‐deliver Cas9‐encoding messenger RNA (mRNA), a single guide RNA (sgRNA) targeting the endogenous cystic fibrosis transmembrane conductance regulator (CFTR) gene, and homologous linear double‐stranded donor DNA (ldsDNA) templates encoding CFTR.

Copper‐based Materials for Photo and Electrocatalytic Process: Advancing Renewable Energy and Environmental Applications

open access: yesAdvanced Functional Materials, EarlyView.
Cu‐based catalysts as a cornerstone in advancing sustainable energy technologies are fully reviewed in this manuscript, highlighting their potential in photo‐ and electrocatalysis. It includes metallic copper, copper oxides, copper sulfides, copper halide perovskites, copper‐based metal–organic frameworks (MOFs), and covalent organic frameworks (COFs),

Exploring flubendazole formulations for use in sheep. Pharmacokinetic evaluation of a cyclodextrin-based solution

open access: yesBMC Veterinary Research, 2012
Background Flubendazole (FLBZ) is a poor water solubility broad-spectrum BZD methylcarbamate anthelmintic compound. Cyclodextrins (CDs) are usually used to increase aqueous solubility of poor hydrosoluble compounds.

MnI‐Functionalized Covalent Organic Framework as Efficient Electrocatalyst for CO2 Reduction in a Catholyte‐Free Zero‐Gap Electrolyzer

open access: yesAdvanced Functional Materials, EarlyView.
This work demonstrates the successful integration of a phenanthroline‐based 2D COF with MnI catalytic sites into a catholyte‐free membrane‐electrode‐assembly cell for CO2 electroreduction. The crystalline COF actively suppresses Mn⁰–Mn⁰ dimerization, achieving a turnover frequency of 617 h⁻¹ at 2.8 V (full‐cell potential), and enabling stable operation.

Imipramine solubility-pH profiles: self-aggregation vs. common-ion effect

open access: yesADMET and DMPK
Background and Purpose: The pH-dependent solubility of imipramine (Imp), a tricyclic antidepressant, was investigated in phosphate buffers and chloride-containing aqueous media using the pH-Ramp shake-flask method.

Copper Doping Enhances the Activity and Selectivity of Atomically Precise Ag44 Nanoclusters for Photocatalytic CO2 Reduction

open access: yesAdvanced Functional Materials, EarlyView.
By a simple anti‐Galvanic reaction, up to six copper atoms could be preferably doped into the Ag2(SR)5 staple motifs and Ag20 dodecahedral shell of an atomically precise Ag44(SR)30 nanocluster. When anatase TiO2 is used as substrate, the (AgCu)44/TiO2 photocatalyst exhibited much improved activity in photocatalytic CO2 reduction compared to Ag44/TiO2 ...

Preparation of tacrolimus ophthalmic solution using cyclodextrins

open access: yesمجله دانشگاه علوم پزشکی بیرجند, 2017
Background and Aim: Application of topical tacrolimus in Vernal Keratoconjunctivitis is considered as an alternative to steroids. Due to the low aqueous solubility of  the drug, preparing a solution of the drug has got particular importance.

WHIM-3D-QSPR APPROACH FOR PREDICTING AQUEOUS SOLUBILITY OF CHLORINATED HYDROCARBONS

open access: yesIndonesian Journal of Chemistry, 2010
The weighted holistic invariant molecular-three dimensional-quantitative structure property relationship (WHIM-3D-QSPR) approach has been applied to the study of the aqueous solubility (- log Sw) of chlorinated hydrocarbon compounds (CHC's). The obtained

Solubility of Membrane Proteins in Aqueous Media

open access: yesJournal of Biological Chemistry, 1971
Abstract Human red blood cell ghosts are severely disrupted by the removal of inorganic cations, and in the presence of 5 x 10-3 m EDTA or 0.1 m (CH3)4NBr the membrane proteins are almost totally soluble in aqueous media without the use of detergents or organic solvents.

Contributions to predicting contaminant leaching from secondary materials used in roads [PDF]

open access: yes, 2004
Slags, coal ashes, and other secondary materials can be used in road construction. Both traditional and secondary materials used in roads may contain contaminants that may leach and pollute the groundwater.
