Self-assembly of Tween 80 micelles as nanocargos for oregano and trans-cinnamaldehyde plant-derived compounds [PDF]

open access: yes, 2020
The self-assembly of Tween 80 (T80) micelles loaded with plant-based oregano essential oil (OR) and trans-cinnamaldehyde (TCA) was studied. The effect of different factors, including the surfactant to oil ratio, the presence of sodium chloride, thermal ...

Effects of pH, temperature, ionic strength and organic matter on triclocarban solubility

open access: yesJournal of Environmental Engineering and Landscape Management, 2021
The solubility of triclocarban in ultrapure water and in several natural aqueous solutions is influenced by several environmental factors. In this study the variation of temperature, pH, ionic strength and concentration of the organic matter over the ...

Solubility of Bilirubin in Aqueous Solutions.

open access: yesExperimental Biology and Medicine, 1962
SummarySolubility of unconjugated bilirubin was studied in protein-free aqueous solutions of various molarity and pH. At salt concentrations approximating that of extracellular fluid, bilirubin was found to be more soluble than has hitherto been assumed. Solubility of bilirubin in aqueous solution depends critically on pH and ionic strength.

Solubility isotope effects in aqueous solutions of methane [PDF]

open access: yes, 2002
The isotope effect on the Henry's law coefficients of methane in aqueous solution (H/D and C-12/C-13 substitution) are interpreted using the statistical mechanical theory of condensed phase isotope effects.

Enhancement of Aqueous Solubility and Dissolution of Celecoxib through Phosphatidylcholine-Based Dispersion Systems Solidified with Adsorbent Carriers

open access: yesPharmaceutics, 2018
This study aimed to design phosphatidylcholine (PC)-based solid dispersion (SD) systems for enhancing the apparent aqueous solubility and dissolution of celecoxib (CLC), a selective cyclooxygenase-2 inhibitor with a highly hydrophobic property.

Solubility models of CH4, CO2, and noble gases and their geological applications

open access: yesJournal of Natural Gas Geoscience, 2023
Solubility models for CH4, CO2, and noble gases are widely used in Earth Sciences, playing pivotal roles in the study of homogenization pressure of inclusions, paleoclimate variation, gas migration and accumulation, formation of helium-rich gas plays ...

Solubility of baclofen in 1-hexyl-4-methylpyridinium bromide + water binary mixtures [PDF]

open access: yesشیمی کاربردی روز, 2017
In this paper, solubility of baclofen was studied by gravimetric method. The solubility of baclofen was measured in (water + 1-hexyl-4-methylpyridinium bromide) binary mixtures from 293.1 K to 313.1 K under atmosphere pressure.

On the analogy between the restricted primitive model and capacitor circuits. Part II: A generalized Gibbs-Duhem consistent extension of the Pitzer-Debye-Hückel term with corrections for low and variable relative permittivity [PDF]

open access: yesJ. Mol. Liq. 360, 119398 (2022), 2023
We present a novel, thermodynamically consistent modification of the Pitzer-Debye-H\"uckel term and its extension for concentration dependent density, molar mass and relative permittivity. This extension is validated for ionic liquids by comparison with a reference model from the literature and, in contrast to similar extensions, also applied to ...
