Highly Reversible Aqueous Anode‐Free Cadmium–Bromine Batteries
Cadmium and zinc anodes in aqueous electrolytes are compared, revealing that cadmium deposits smoothly with suppressed parasitic reactions and high metal utilization. Anode‐free cadmium–bromine batteries are then developed, where LiCl additive tunes the Cd2+ solvation structure to accelerate Cd2+ desolvation and plating kinetics.

While dual‐electrode‐free Zn‐MnO2 batteries offer high voltage, intrinsic safety and simple manufacturing, their efficiency and stability are limited by incompatible Zn and MnO2 redox chemistries. This work introduces a dissimilar electrolyte architecture to decouple Zn and MnO2 reactions, endowing a dual‐electrode‐free and lean‐electrolyte Zn‐MnO2 ...

Active Site Determination of Heterogenized Molecular Electrocatalysts
Here, we develop a methodology to examine the active site availability of immobilized transition‐metal molecular complexes via cyclic voltammetry. By using varying loadings of the molecular complex FeTPP physically immobilized onto Vulcan Carbon, we show the influences of FeTPP/VC ratios on the total number of active sites.
