Proteasomal degradation of intracellularly expressed Amblyomin‐X limits suicide gene therapy potential in melanoma cells

open access: yesFEBS Open Bio, EarlyView.
This study explores the feasibility of expressing the antitumoral protein Amblyomin‐X through a suicide gene therapy approach and investigates its intracellular fate after gene delivery. Although the gene is efficiently expressed, melanoma cells rapidly degrade the Amblyomin‐X protein via proteasome activity.

Prediction intervals for nearly nonstationary AR(1)-processes [PDF]

open access: yes, 1993
We construct prediction intervals for the observations of first-order autoregressive processes when the model approaches a nonstationary situation with a unit root.

Bartlett correction in the stable AR(1) model with intercept and trend

open access: yes, 2009
Bartlett corrections are derived for testing hypotheses about the autoregressive parameter ρ in the stable (a) AR(1) model, (b) AR(1) model with intercept, (c) AR(1) model with intercept and linear trend.

The C‐terminal region of KIF26B is indispensable for nephron progenitor condensation and kidney formation in mice

open access: yesFEBS Open Bio, EarlyView.
KIF26B plays an important role in kidney development. We engineered mice lacking the C‐terminal region of KIF26B and found severe kidney defects, including bilateral renal agenesis, similar to full Kif26b knockout mice. The mutation disrupted nephron progenitor condensation and reduced Gdnf‐Wnt11 signaling, showing that the KIF26B C‐terminal region is ...

Streamflow Simulation Based on Copula Function

open access: yes工程科学与技术, 2009
:The kernel of stochastic model is the construction of joint distribution or conditional probability distribution. A first-order non-stationary time series model, namely seasonal CAR(1), was established based on Copula function and compared with seasonal

Time‐restricted feeding prior to Mycobacterium tuberculosis infection reduces tissue CD4+ T cells with limited impact on bacterial clearance

open access: yesFEBS Open Bio, EarlyView.
Time‐restricted feeding (TRF) in mice increased liver fatty acid oxidation and decreased fatty acid biosynthesis. These alterations persisted when TRF was discontinued and the host was infected with Mycobacterium tuberculosis. Pre‐exposure to TRF did not alter tissue (lung and spleen) mycobacterial burden but significantly reduced CD3+ T cells in lungs

Increased glucose transporter 1 contributes to epithelial barrier dysfunction in allergic rhinitis

open access: yesWorld Allergy Organization Journal
Background: Epithelial barrier impairment is a characteristic pathological hallmark of allergic rhinitis (AR), yet the mechanisms contributing to this dysfunction remain incompletely understood.
