The content of pigments and proteins in P. stratiotes is determined. Seventeen amino acids and twelve acylcarnitines are identified and quantified under the action of copper and zinc in the ionic form and in the form of colloidal nanoparticles obtained by metal granules dispersing induced by electric current pulses in water.

Summary 14 genera and 38 species of Araceae have been examined, for distribution and frequency of sclereids within aerial-root, leafsheath, petiole, lamina, spadix and flowers. There is a conspicuous variety in distribution, abundance and types of sclereids in Araceae.

The pattern of ovular vasculature in Araceae was examined in a broad survey, encompassing 97 genera and over 280 species. Ovular vasculature in most Araceae is limited to a single, unbranched bundle in the funiculus and chalaza and, in the remaining genera, either multiple simple or branched bundles in the chalaza.
