RHIZOMA PERENNIAL PEANUT (Arachis glabrata) BASED ANIMAL PRODUCTION SYSTEMS FOR THE CARIBBEAN BASIN

open access: yesThe Journal of Agriculture of the University of Puerto Rico, 1990
Rhizoma perennial peanut (RPP) is a perennial relative of the commercial peanut (A. hypooea) that is planted and perennates by means of rhizomes. Two cultivars,'Florigraze' and 'Arbrook', have been released by the University of Florida for use as a forage for well-drained soils of the tropics and subtropics.

De novo full length transcriptome analysis of Arachis glabrata provides insights into gene expression dynamics in response to biotic and abiotic stresses

open access: yesGenomics, 2021
The perennial ornamental peanut Arachis glabrata represents one of the most adaptable wild Arachis species. This study used PacBio combined with BGISEQ-500 RNA-seq technology to study the transcriptome and gene expression dynamics of A. glabrata. Of the total 109,747 unique transcripts obtained, >90,566 transcripts showed significant homology to known ...
