Morphological traits as variety descriptors of Arachis pintoi
Arachis pintoi is outstanding in the present agricultural scenery for adapting well to varied environments andin view of its high yield of quality fodder. It is therefore used as forage crop in different countries. In the last 15 years, morethan ten cultivars were released in different countries; none of them is protected in Brazil.

Steers performance in dwarf elephant grass pastures alone or mixed with Arachis pintoi [PDF]
The inclusion of legumes in pasture reduces the need for mineral nitrogen applications and the pollution of groundwater; however, the agronomic and animal husbandry advantages with tropical legumes are still little known. The objective of this study was to quantify the effect of the use of forage peanut (Arachis pintoi cv.

Response of Axonopus catarinensis and Arachis pintoi to shade conditions
In the northeast of Argentina, there are more than 100,000 ha of silvopastoral systems, where trees, forages and livestock are combined with the goal to diversify income, reduce financial risk, obtain more profit and enhance environmental benefit (Cubbage et al. 2012).

Somatic embryogenesis and plant regeneration in diploid and triploid Arachis pintoi
Plants of two cytotypes (2n=2x=20, and 2n=3x=30) of pinto peanut (Arachis pintoi Krapov. & W.C. Gregory) were regenerated through somatic embryogenesis. Embryogenic calli were induced from shoot tips or immature leaves dissected from in vitro growing plants.

Fighting weeds in mono-cultures of forage peanut (Arachis pintoi).

Regeneration of Plants from Apical Meristem Tips and Nodal Segments of Arachis pintoi [PDF]
Abstract The in vitro regeneration potential of shoot apical tips (2 to 3 mm in length), meristems (0.3 to 0.5 mm in length), and nodal segments (4 to 7 mm long with an axillary bud) of diploid (2n = 2x = 20) and triploid (2n = 3x = 30) cytotypes of Arachis pintoi was evaluated.
