Straight wires with arbitrary excitation and loading

IEEE Transactions on Antennas and Propagation, 1967
A general analysis of straight wire antennas and scatterers, with arbitrary excitation and loading, is given. The resulting formulas are in matrix notation, in a form suitable for programming on a digital computer. Many numerical results for input admittances, current distributions, radiation patterns, and scattering cross sections of various antennas ...

Calculation of RF Peak Power for 2D Arbitrary Shape Excitation in MRI

2005 IEEE Engineering in Medicine and Biology 27th Annual Conference, 2005
An exact formula has been derived to calculate the required RF (B1) peak power for 2D arbitrary shape excitation in MRI with rectilinear K-space trajectory. An approximate formula has also been derived for spiral trajectory.

GHz ultrasonics with arbitrary code excitation

2013 IEEE International Ultrasonics Symposium (IUS), 2013
Recently we developed a high frequency coded signal ultrasound microscope based on quadrature modulation [1, 2]. The device allowed pulse-echo operation at 300 MHz, however, local oscillator crosstalk reduced the SNR of pulse compression. To achieve GHz-range operation we present an improved design with new RF-components. The new design improved SNR by

Arbitrary excitation of atomic hydrogen at high energies

Physical Review A, 1990
Because of the growing need of excitation cross-section data of atomic hydrogen by fully stripped heavy ions for the preparation of an atomic database for neutral-beam penetration in large tokamaks, we have calculated these data in the framework of the first-order Born approximation for {ital n}{le}20 in the energy range of 0.1 to 1.5 MeV/amu.

Arbitrary holographic spectral shaping of plasmonic broadband excitations

Optics Letters, 2015
We demonstrate a new method for controlling the broadband excitations of surface plasmons. This method is based on computer-generated holographic gratings and enables not only the coupling of the broadband illumination with surface plasmons, but also the arbitrary shaping of their spectra.
