Computing coupled-cluster wave functions with arbitrary excitations

An algorithm is presented for solving coupled-cluster (CC) equations by successive diagonalization of 2×2 matrices. It is more expensive than usual procedures, but it is capable of solving a CC problem where any arbitrary excitation is included in the cluster operator.

Ferrite core loss measurement with arbitrary wave excitation

This paper studies the methods of loss measurement for ferrite cores under sinusoidal and nonsinusoidal excitations. For the sinusoidal excitation, a resonant method is introduced and the impedance angle of the ferrite inductor under study is reduced to zero, which makes the measurement least sensitive to the influence of parasitic impedance. A heuristic prediction of the number of solitons that are excited by an arbitrary potential

The number of Korteweg-de Vries solitons that are excited from an arbitrary potential are determined using a simple intuitive model. The results are compared with a numerical study of a nonlinear transmission line. The technique can be extended to nonlinear Schrodinger solitons.

Response of a metal\ferroelectric Hf 0.5 Zr 0.5 O 2 \metal capacitor to an arbitrary excitation is investigated by polarization reversal curves and switching speed characterization. Results are explained in a steady-state Preisach as well as a modified transient NLS model framework. Applicability and limitations of each model are discussed.
