Damping optimization over the arbitrary time of the excited mechanical system
In this paper we consider damping optimization in mechanical system excited by an external force. We use optimization criteria based on minimizing average energy amplitude and average displacement amplitude over the arbitrary time. As the main result we derive explicit formulas for objective functions.

Acute caffeine treatment protects the developing retina from ischemia‐induced cell death
Caffeine reduces cell death in the developing retina under ischemia (OGD). This effect does not involve BDNF upregulation or antioxidant pathways (NRF2/VEGF). Neuroprotection occurs mainly through adenosine A2A receptor antagonism, decreasing glutamate release and excitotoxicity, highlighting caffeine's potential as an acute neuroprotective agent in ...

Generalized nonorthogonal matrix elements for arbitrary excitations
Electronic structure methods that exploit nonorthogonal Slater determinants face the challenge of efficiently computing nonorthogonal matrix elements. In a recent publication, H. G. A. Burton, J. Chem. Phys. 154, 144109 (2021), I introduced a generalized nonorthogonal extension to Wick's theorem that allows matrix elements to be derived between excited

Repair of neuronal DNA damage in Alzheimer's disease by KCL‐286. (A) Amyloid‐β oligomers and plaques impair neuronal DNA repair pathways, leading to DNA double‐strand breaks and glial activation. (B) KCL‐286 activates RARβ/RXR signalling via retinoic acid response elements (RAREs), associated with increased BRCA1 expression, enhanced DNA repair and ...

Measurement of FRFs and Modal Identification in Case of Correlated Multi-Point Excitation
The modal identification of large and dynamically complex structures often requires a multi-point excitation. Sine sweep excitation runs are applied when it is necessary to concentrate more energy on each line of the frequency spectrum.

Advancing Age Modulates Associations Between Cognitive Impairment and Brain Volumes in Early MS
ABSTRACT Introduction Cognitive impairment is common in multiple sclerosis (MS), but manifestations following the first demyelinating event are relatively unexplored. We investigated cross‐sectional associations between magnetic resonance imaging (MRI)–derived brain volumes and the presence of cognitive impairment outcomes five years after the first ...

Comparative Effectiveness and Safety of Inebilizumab Versus Rituximab in AQP4‐IgG‐Positive NMOSD
ABSTRACT Objective Rituximab (anti‐CD20, RTX) and inebilizumab (anti‐CD19, INE) represent B‐cell‐depleting therapies used for aquaporin‐4 antibody‐positive (AQP4‐IgG+) neuromyelitis optica spectrum disorder (NMOSD); however, direct comparative evidence remains limited.
