Lipid Inhibitors of Arbovirus Haemagglutination

Summary Erythrocytes from various species showed a gradient of sensitivity to agglutination by arboviruses, from reptile erythrocytes, relatively insensitive, to avian erythrocytes, the most sensitive tested. Lipids extracted from both inagglutinable and agglutinable erythrocytes inhibited arbovirus haemagglutination.
