Arbuscular mycorrhizas are present on Spitsbergen [PDF]

open access: yesMycorrhiza, 2017
A previous study of 76 plant species on Spitsbergen in the High Arctic concluded that structures resembling arbuscular mycorrhizas were absent from roots. Here, we report a survey examining the roots of 13 grass and forb species collected from 12 sites on the island for arbuscular mycorrhizal (AM) colonisation.

Mycorrhiza Diversity in Some Intercropping Systems of Potato (Solanum tuberosum L) and Faba Bean (Vicia faba L)

open access: yesJurnal Teknik Pertanian Lampung, 2023
Arbuscular mycorrhizal fungi (AMF) is the most widely distributed mycorrhizal fungi in the soil and can make a symbiosis with the roots of host plants to form arbuscular mycorrhizal symbionts. Intercropping is a practice of polyculture cropping where two

Responses of different panicum miliaceum l. Genotypes to saline and water stress in a marginal mediterranean environment [PDF]

open access: yes, 2018
The aims of this study were to evaluate: (1) the effect of sodium chloride (NaCl) and mannitol at different osmotic pressures on the germination of three proso millet (Panicum miliaceum L.) genotypes (VIR 9181, Unikum, and Kinelskoje) under controlled ...

Effect of Arbuscular Mycorrhiza and Kokazolla Fertilizer on Physiological Parameters and Production Components of Purple Maize (Zea mays L.) [PDF]

open access: yesBIO Web of Conferences
The production of purple maize was essential to maintain the soil fertility development without environmental impact. The arbuscular mycorrhiza and kokazolla fertilizer are biological and organic material applications in the field.

Striga seed-germination activity of root exudates and compounds present in stems of Striga host and nonhost (trap crop) plants is reduced due to root colonization by arbuscular mycorrhizal fungi. [PDF]

open access: yes, 2009
Root colonization by arbuscular mycorrhizal (AM) fungi reduces stimulation of seed germination of the plant parasite Striga (Orobanchaceae). This reduction can affect not only host plants for Striga, resulting in a lower parasite incidence, but also ...

A review of the influence of root-associating fungi and root exudates on the success of invasive plants [PDF]

open access: yes, 2012
Plant-fungal interactions are essential for understanding the distribution and abundance of plants species. Recently, arbuscular mycorrhizal fungal (AMF) partners of non-indigenous invasive plants have been hypothesized to be a critical factor ...

Selectivity and functional diversity in arbuscular mycorrhizas of co-occurring fungi and plants from a temperate deciduous woodland [PDF]

open access: yes, 2002
1 The arbuscular mycorrhizal (AM) fungi colonizing plants at a woodland site in North Yorkshire (UK) have been characterized from the roots of five plant species (Rubus fruticosus agg. L., Epilobium angustifolium L., Acer pseudoplatanus L., Ajuga reptans
