Germline TP53 Mutations Causing Diamond–Blackfan Anemia: A French Report
ABSTRACT Diamond–Blackfan anemia is a rare congenital erythroblastopenia typically caused by mutations in ribosomal protein genes. Recently, gain‐of‐function mutations in TP53 have been identified as a novel cause of Diamond–Blackfan anemia. We report two French patients who both harbored a heterozygous TP53 deletion (NM_000546.5: c.1077delA; p ...

Asymptotically Optimal Smoothing with Arch Models [PDF]
Summary: Suppose an observed time series is generated by a stochastic volatility model -- i.e., there is an unobservable state variable controlling the volatility of the innovations in the series. As shown by the author [J. Econom. 52, No. 1/2, 61-90 (1992; Zbl 0761.62169)], and the author and \textit{D. P. Foster} [Econometrica 62, No.

Arches: a Framework for Modeling Complex Terrains [PDF]
AbstractIn this paper, we present a framework for representing complex terrains with such features as overhangs, arches and caves and including different materials such as sand and rocks. Our hybrid model combines a volumetric discrete data structure that stores the different materials and an implicit representation for sculpting and reconstructing the

In situ molecular organization and heterogeneity of the Legionella Dot/Icm T4SS
We present a nearly complete in situ model of the Legionella Dot/Icm type IV secretion system, revealing its central secretion channel and identifying new components. Using cryo‐electron tomography with AI‐based modeling, our work highlights the structure, variability, and mechanism of this complex nanomachine, advancing understanding of bacterial ...

Glioma cells mainly express the endothelin receptor EDNRB, while EDNRA is restricted to a perivascular tumor subpopulation. Endothelin signaling reduces glioma cell proliferation while promoting migration and a proneural‐to‐mesenchymal transition associated with poor prognosis. This pathway activates Ca2+, K+, ERK, and STAT3 signalings and is regulated

Volatility Modelling Using Hybrid Autoregressive Conditional Heteroskedasticity (ARCH) - Support Vector Regression (SVR) [PDF]
High fluctuations in stock returns is one problem that is considered by the investors. Therefore we need a model that is able to predict accurately the volatility of stock returns.

Mutant NPM1 in Acute Myeloid Leukemia Initiation and Maintenance
NPM1 mutations drive acute myeloid leukemia by acting as neomorphic transcriptional regulators that cooperate with Menin–MLL and XPO1 to sustain HOX/MEIS1 expression and block differentiation. Targeting these mutant‐specific transcriptional dependencies provides a rational therapeutic strategy for NPM1‐mutated AML.
