Arcing is a ubiquitous phenomenon and a crucial issue in high-voltage applied systems, especially low-temperature plasma (LTP) engineering. Although arcing in LTPs has attracted interest due to the severe damage it can cause, its underlying mechanism has

Arthrogryposis-renal dysfunction-cholestasis (ARC) is an autosomal recessive multisystem disorder characterized by arthrogryposis, renal tubular dysfunction and neonatal cholestasis with low gamma glutamyl transpeptidase activity. Most of the mutations in ARC syndrome are associated with the vacuolar protein sorting 33B (VPS33B) gene on chromosome ...

Detecting Arcing Faults in Switchgear by Using Deep Learning Techniques
Switchgear and control gear are susceptible to arc problems that arise from slowly developing defects such as partial discharge, arcing, and heating due to faulty connections. These issues can now be detected and monitored using modern technology.

Transferring CNN Features Maps to Ensembles of Explainable Neural Networks
The explainability of connectionist models is nowadays an ongoing research issue. Before the advent of deep learning, propositional rules were generated from Multi Layer Perceptrons (MLPs) to explain how they classify data.

AI in arcing-HIF detection: a brief review
In the past few decades, the arcing-high-impedance fault (arcing-HIF) detection problems have become an important issue in the effectively grounded distribution network. Many solutions have been proposed to address this problem.

We predict a novel metallic state of matter that emerges in a Weyl-semimetal superstructure with spatially varying Weyl-node positions. In the new state, the Weyl nodes are stretched into extended, anisotropic Fermi surfaces, which can be understood as being built from Fermi arclike states.
