Preparation of bergenin from Ardisia crenata sims and Rodgersia sambucifolia hemsl based on microwave-assisted extraction/high-speed counter-current chromatography [PDF]
Abstract In this paper, a simple method for the rapid extraction, separation and purification of bergenin from Ardisia crenata sims and Rodgersia sambucifolia hemsl by microwave-assisted extraction (MAE) coupled with high-speed counter-current chromatography (HSCCC) was developed. The MAE conditions were optimized and 2.0 g sample was extracted using

Novel method for improving ardicrenin content in hairy roots of Ardisia crenata Sims plants
Journal of Biotechnology, 2020To develop an alternative medicine related with taxol/camptothecin, a hairy roots induction system for measuring triterpenoid saponin ardicrenin was established. In the current study, mature and healthy seeds of Ardisia crenata plants were selected for obtaining aseptic seedlings.

Anti‐inflammatory activity of a new lactone isolated from the leaves of Ardisia crenata Sims
Chemistry & BiodiversityAbstractOne new lactone (1) named Ardisicreolide C, together with three saponin compounds, Ardisiacrispin B (2), Ardisicrenoside A (3), Ardisiacrispin A (4) were isolated and identified from the leaves of Ardisia crenata Sims. The structures of 1–4 were elucidated by 1D, 2D‐NMR and HR‐MS spectra and together with the published data.

[Studies on the chemical constituents of Ardisia crenata Sims].
Zhongguo Zhong yao za zhi = Zhongguo zhongyao zazhi = China journal of Chinese materia medica, 1990A new bergenin derivative isolated from the root of Ardisia crenata was determined to be 11-o-syringylbergenin by spectral methods. Other compounds were identified as spinasterol, series fatty acids, beta-sitosterol-beta-D-glucoside, norbergenin and sucrose respectively. The last three were obtained for the first time from the genus of Ardisia.

We used the electrospray ionization (ESI) Fourier transform ion cyclotron resonance mass spectrometry (FTICR-MS) technique to study the characteristic mass fragmentation patterns of eight triterpene saponins from Ardisia crenata Sims. Eight triterpene saponins were analyzed using parent mass list-triggered data-dependent multiple-stage accurate mass ...
