New onset refractory status epilepticus: Long‐term outcomes beyond seizures

open access: yesEpilepsia, Volume 66, Issue 4, Page 988-1005, April 2025.
Abstract We propose and prioritize important outcome domains that should be considered for future research investigating long‐term outcomes (LTO) after new onset refractory status epilepticus (NORSE). The study was led by the international NORSE Institute LTO Working Group.

Whose children are we concerned about, and why? A cohort study of sociodemographic referral patterns to the Norwegian child welfare system

open access: yesInternational Journal of Social Welfare, Volume 34, Issue 2, April 2025.

Impact of maternal overweight/obesity and high fasting plasma glucose on adverse perinatal outcomes in early gestational diabetes mellitus

open access: yesJournal of Diabetes Investigation, Volume 16, Issue 4, Page 744-754, April 2025.
This study aims to identify risk factors associated with adverse perinatal outcomes in early‐gestational diabetes mellitus (GDM), diagnosed before 20 weeks of gestation. Early‐GDM, combined with pre‐pregnancy overweight/obesity and/or fasting PG levels of 95–125 mg/dL, is associated with a higher risk of adverse perinatal outcomes and should be ...

Cutting the sap: First molecular phylogeny of twig‐girdler longhorn beetles (Coleoptera: Cerambycidae: Lamiinae: Onciderini) suggests shifts in host plant attack behaviours contributed to morphological evolution

open access: yesSystematic Entomology, Volume 50, Issue 2, Page 369-386, April 2025.
Onciderines originated c. 56 Ma, in the Palaeocene‐Eocene boundary, and consist of two major monophyletic lineages, here established as subtribes Hypsiomatina and Onciderina. A novel, female‐specific mechanism of attacking host plants known as girdling evolved independently and irreversibly at least five times in the onciderines.

Fully Phased Population‐Prevalent East African Cattle BoLA‐I Alleles Determined Using PacBio HiFi Long‐Read Sequencing Represent Five Novel Specificities With Distinctive Peptide Binding Potential

open access: yesHLA, Volume 105, Issue 4, April 2025.
ABSTRACT Due to factors such as lower biosecurity, greater wildlife/farm animal interfaces, and environmental challenges, cattle in sub‐Saharan Africa are exposed to more diverse and intensive bacterial, viral and protozoan pathogen challenges than cattle in Europe and other high‐income regions of the world.
