Real-time scheduling feedback fuzzy control system based on area control error and power generation error

2012 9th International Conference on Fuzzy Systems and Knowledge Discovery, 2012
Through collecting the real time control error in the area of power grid and power generation error of the generating units in Hunan Province, combined with ultra-short term load forecasting, established the new feedback control system considering the load error, area control error and generating unit error, we can guide real-time scheduling of the ...

Message response time distribution analysis for Controller Area Network containing errors

2015 Chinese Automation Congress (CAC), 2015
Controller Area Network (CAN) is a widely used fieldbus protocol in various industrial applications. In order to understand the network behaviors under errors for optimal design of the networked control systems, the messages response time (MRT) of the CAN nodes need to be analyzed.

Using EASY5 to investigate filtering of power system area control error

Proceedings of 26th Southeastern Symposium on System Theory, 2002
The area control error (ACE) is an indication of the mismatch between generation and load demand of a power system. This signal is an integral part of the automatic generation control (AGC) system which seeks to match area generation and load on a moment to moment basis.

A simple method for improving control area performance: area control error (ACE) diversity interchange ADI

IEEE Transactions on Power Systems, 1995
Power system control areas within three major (and essentially separate) areas of North America are interconnected electrically, thus enjoying vastly improved reliability and economy of operation compared to operating in isolation. Each must continually balance load, interchange and generation to minimize adverse influence on neighboring control areas ...

An integral square error-based model predictive controller for two area load frequency control

Advances in Energy Research, 2017
The main objective of load frequency control (LFC) is to keep the frequency value at nominal value and force deviation of the frequency to zero in case of load change. This paper suggests LFC by using a model predictive control (MPC), based on Integral Square Error (ISE) method designed to optimize the damping of oscillations in a two-area power system.

Adaptation of Load-Frequency-Control Target Values Based on the Covariances Between Area-Control Errors

IEEE Transactions on Power Systems, 2018
This paper proposes a parametric, statistical model for adapting the load-frequency-control (LFC) target values that are used for a performance evaluation. These target values should be determined in such a way that the system frequency will be bounded within the target range.

Improved Load Frequency Controller for Reduction of Both Area Control Error and Automatic Frequency Restoration Reserve Energy Cost

2021 IEEE Madrid PowerTech, 2021
The merit-order activation scheme for control reserves is expected to introduce in Japan. All transmission system operators (TSOs) currently operate automatic frequency restoration reserves (aFRRs) on a pro-rata basis for load frequency control (LFC). In addition, the area control error (ACE) increases when changing the activation scheme for LFC from ...
