Application of Hill's equation for estimating area under the concentration-time curve (AUC) and use of time to AUC 90% for expressing kinetics of drug disposition

Journal of Pharmacological and Toxicological Methods, 2009
Half life and its derived pharmacokinetic parameters are calculated on an assumption that the terminal phase of drug disposition follows a constant rate of disposition. In reality, this assumption may not necessarily be the case. A new method is needed for analyzing PK parameters if the disposition does not follow a first order PK kinetic.Cumulative ...

A LIMITED SAMPLING METHOD FOR THE ESTIMATION OF FLUNARIZINE AREA UNDER THE CURVE (AUC) AND MAXIMUM PLASMA CONCENTRATION (CMAX)

Biopharmaceutics & Drug Disposition, 1997
A limited sampling model has been developed for flunarizine following a 30 mg oral dose in epileptic patients who were receiving phenytoin or carbamazepine or both, to estimate the area under the curve (AUC) and maximum plasma concentration (Cmax).

Evaluating Performance of Software Defect Prediction Models Using Area Under Precision-Recall Curve (AUC-PR)

2019 2nd International Conference on Advancements in Computational Sciences (ICACS), 2019
Software defect prediction (SDP) models are used to improve effort and testing estimate of software by identifying defective modules beforehand. Precision, recall/true positive rate and false positive rate have been used to evaluate the performance of models.

The dynamic detection of drug area under curve (AUC) guides clinical usage of docetaxel in solid tumors.

Journal of Clinical Oncology, 2019
3024 Background: The dosage of most chemotherapy drugs were performed based on the patients’ body surface area (BSA), including docetaxel (DTX). Previous studies showed that this conventional administration of DTX might cause adverse event, such as neutropenia, and neutropenia was proved to associate with DTX area under curve (AUC).

Limited Sampling Strategy for the Prediction of Area Under the Curve (AUC) of Statins: Reliability of a Single Time Point for AUC Prediction for Pravastatin and Simvastatin

Drug Research, 2015
Statins are widely prescribed medicines and are also available in fixed dose combinations with other drugs to treat several chronic ailments. Given the safety issues associated with statins it may be important to assess feasibility of a single time concentration strategy for prediction of exposure (area under the curve; AUC).

Development and Validation of UV Spectrophotometric Area Under Curve (AUC) Method for Sildenafil Citrate in Pharmaceutical Formulation

Research Journal of Pharmacy and Technology, 2016
A simple, rapid, economical, precise and sensitive UV spectrophotometric method has been developed and validated for for the determination of sildenafil citrate in pharmaceutical preparations. The solution of both the drugs and tablet were prepared in water. Area under curve was integrated in the wavelength range of 275.80–303.20 nm.

Energy detector's performance evaluation in a relay based cognitive radio network: Area under the ROC curve (AUC) approach

2011 IEEE GLOBECOM Workshops (GC Wkshps), 2011
In this paper, energy detector's performance is analyzed for the two-hop relay network using the area under the receiver operating characteristic (ROC) curve (AUC) in contrast to the ROC based analysis. AUC provides summary measures for the performance of a system. It provides meaningful performance analysis as it varies only from 0.5 to 1.

A dynamic analysis of area under the curve (AUC) estimation of hydrogen ion activity predicts mucosal damage in GERD

Proceedings of 16th Annual International Conference of the IEEE Engineering in Medicine and Biology Society, 2002
Gastroesophageal reflux disease (GERD) is caused by esophageal exposure to concentrated acid over time. The authors tested the hypothesis that AUC for hydrogen ion activity (H/sup +/) modeled by the power function, predicts mucosal damage and propose that GERD is a two component disease. In 33 continuous 24-h esophageal pH recordings (Hines VA Hospital)
