Module Arens regularity for semigroup algebras
Semigroup Forum, 2008The authors introduce and study the notion of module Arens regularity. A classical result by \textit{N. J. Young} [Q. J. Math., Oxf. II. Ser. 24, 59--62 (1973; Zbl 0252.43009)] says that the group algebra \(L^1(G)\) of a locally compact group \(G\) is Arens regular if and only if \(G\) is finite.

Beurling–Fourier algebras, operator amenability and Arens regularity
We introduce the class of Beurling-Fourier algebras on locally compact groups and show that they are non-commutative analogs of classical Beurling algebras. We obtain various results with regard to the operator amenability, operator weak amenability and Arens regularity of Beurling-Fourier algebras on compact groups and show that they behave very ...

The Quarterly Journal of Mathematics, 1987
It is proved that, if X is a Banach space, then every continuous bilinear mapping from \(X\times X\) into X is Arens regular if and only if every bounded linear mapping from X into \(X^*\) is weakly compact.

CONCEPTS OF ARENS REGULARITY FOR GENERAL MEASURE ALGEBRAS
Quarterly Journal of Mathematics, 1996If \(A\) is a Banach algebra then there are two so-called Arens products on its second dual \(A^{**}\). We say that \(A\) is (Arens) regular if these two products coincide. It is well-known that if \(G\) is an infinite locally compact group then the group algebra \(L^1(G)\) is not regular.

Arens regularity of $$A_\Phi (G)$$
Banach Journal of Mathematical AnalysisLet \(G\) be a locally compact group and \(\Phi\) be a Young function. The authors study Arens regularity of the Orlicz space \(L^\Phi(G)\) versions of the Figà-Talamanca Herz algebra \(A_\Phi(G)\). They show that if the algebra \(A_\Phi(G)\) is Arens regular then \(G\) is discrete.

Arens Regularity and the A p (G) Algebras
Proceedings of the American Mathematical Society, 1993This paper is the continuation of the author's paper [in Pac. J. Math. 151, 217-227 (1991; Zbl 0746.43002)] in which the concept of Arens regularity for Banach algebras is defined. Let \(G\) be a locally compact group, and let \(A_ p(G)\) be the Herz algebra of \(G\) associated with ...

On the Arens Regularity of Weighted Convolution Algebras
Journal of the London Mathematical Society, 1989Let A be a Banach algebra. In [1, 2] R. Arens showed how to construct two multiplications on A** which make A** into a Banach algebra. The two multiplications are, in general, distinct; Arens said that A was regular if they coincided. In this paper we are concerned with the regularity of Banach algebras of the form l^S) and ^(S.eu), where S is a ...

ARENS REGULARITY OF THE ALGEBRA OF OPERATORS ON A BANACH SPACE
Bulletin of the London Mathematical Society, 2004A Banach algebra \(A\) is said to be Arens regular if the two canonical ways of extending the product from \(A\) to its bidual \(A^{\ast\ast}\) coincide. This paper deals with the question of Arens regularity for the Banach algebra \({\mathcal B}(E)\) of bounded linear operators on a Banach space \(E\).

A Correction to "Arens Regularity and the Algebra of Double Multipliers"
Proceedings of the American Mathematical Society, 1984Theorem 4.2 of the paper cited in the title [ibid. 81, 293-298 (1981; Zbl 0489.46040)] is corrected.

ON THE ARENS REGULARITY OF INDUCTIVE LIMIT ALGEBRAS AND RELATED MATTERS
The Quarterly Journal of Mathematics, 1989The authors show that the inductive limit of regular algebras may not be regular. This fact contradicts corollary 7 of the paper [\textit{N. Arikan}, this J. 32, 383-388 (1981; Zbl 0442.46035)]. Though, the authors did not give conditions for the regularity of an inductive limit, their methods yield ways: -- of finding the weakly almost periodic ...
