Bicommutants and Arens Regularity [PDF]
Let $C$ and $R$ be unital rings and $Z$ an injective cogenerator for right $C$-modules. For an $R,C$-bimodule $U$ let $U^*=Hom_C(U,Z)$, $S=End_R(U)$ and $Biend_R(U)=End_S(U)$, the biendomorphism ring of $U$. Under suitable requirements on $U$ we show that $B:=Biend_R(U)$ can be identified with a subring of $\tilde{B}:=Biend_R(U^*)$,study conditions for

Arens regularity for totally ordered semigroups
AbstractLetSbe a semigroup. We shall consider the centres of the semigroup$$(\beta \,S, \,\Box \,)$$(βS,□)and of the algebra$$(M(\beta \,S), \,\Box \,)$$(M(βS),□), where$$M(\beta \,S)$$M(βS)is the bidual of the semigroup algebra$$(\ell ^{\,1}(S),\,\star \,)$$(ℓ1(S),⋆), and whether the semigroup and the semigroup algebra are Arens regular, strongly ...

Arens regularity of module actions [PDF]
We study the Arens regularity of module actions of Banach left or right modules over Banach algebras. We prove that if A has a brai (blai), then the right (left) module action of A on Ais Arens regular if and only if A is reflexive. We find that Arens regularity is implied by the factorization of Aor A when A is a left or a right ideal in A . The

ARENS PRODUCTS, ARENS REGULARITY AND RELATED PROBLEMS
Bulletin of the Australian Mathematical Society, 2019We study the second dual algebra of a Banach algebra and related problems. We resolve some questions raised by Ülger, which are related to Arens products. We then discuss a question of Gulick on the radical of the second dual algebra of the group algebra of a discrete abelian group and give an application of Arens regularity to Fourier and Fourier ...

Arens regularity of projective tensor products [PDF]
For completely contractive Banach algebras $A$ and $B$ (respectively operator algebras $A$ and $B$), the necessary and sufficient conditions for the operator space projective tensor product $A\widehat{\otimes}B$ (respectively the Haagerup tensor product $A\otimes^{h}B$) to be Arens regular are obtained.
