Occurrence of Ornithodoros kelleyi (Acari: Argasidae) in Kentucky
Journal of Medical Entomology, 1992A new distribution record is established for the tick Ornithodoros kelleyi Cooley & Kohls for Kentucky. Collections of this tick were associated with bat roosting sites in attics of houses. Scanning electron microscopy was used as an aid in distinguishing various taxonomic characteristics and morphological structures of O. kelleyi.

An overview on Sardinia’s soft ticks (Ixodida: Argasidae)
Experimental and Applied Acarology, 2016Knowledge about soft ticks (Ixodida: Argasidae) in Sardinia is incomplete and distribution data need to be updated. This work studies soft ticks on the island focusing on two species, Argas reflexus and Ornithodoros maritimus, both recently recorded. A total number of 12 specimens of these species of interest were collected between 2004 and 2015.
