Between Financial and Socioemotional Wealth: Navigating Knotted Tensions in Family Business Innovation

open access: yesJournal of Product Innovation Management, EarlyView.
ABSTRACT Current research on family business innovation tends to isolate individual tensions for analysis, while in reality, these tensions often arise in complex entanglements. To fill this research void, we focus on understanding how multiple tensions occur in the innovation process, how these tensions are entangled, and how they are managed. We turn

Games Without Rules

open access: yesPhilosophy and Phenomenological Research, EarlyView.
ABSTRACT It is widely assumed that all games essentially have rules. This paper challenges this apparent truism. We argue that rules are merely one means for generating obstacles: features that make success more difficult. We propose that obstacles, not rules, are essential to games. This shift comes with several theoretical benefits.

Titian's Falconer: From Zorzone to Girolamo Cornaro

open access: yesRenaissance Studies, EarlyView.
ABSTRACT The identity of the sitter in Titian's Falconer and the issue of its dating have been subject to a false, yet very influential assumption: that The Falconer should be dated to a point as late as 1537 in order to connect it to the identity of Zorzone Cornaro (1517–1571), son of Girolamo (1485–1551).

Why Fire Suppression Persists: Territorial Politics and the Criminalisation of Fire in India's Political Forests

open access: yesAntipode, Volume 58, Issue 5, September 2026.
