Understanding Egg Price Volatility and Policy Implications in the U.S. With Machine Learning

open access: yesApplied Economic Perspectives and Policy, Volume 48, Issue 4, Page 1146-1166, September 2026.
ABSTRACT Eggs are an inexpensive and sustainable source of proteins, but volatility in the U.S. egg prices has intensified in recent years, raising concerns over food affordability and market stability. This study examines the drivers of U.S. egg price dynamics over 2004–2025 using a two‐stage framework that combines LASSO‐based variable selection with

A Nonparametric Multivariate Framework With Stochastic Forecasting: Evaluating Public Pension Service Quality

open access: yesApplied Stochastic Models in Business and Industry, Volume 42, Issue 5, September/October 2026.
ABSTRACT Evaluation of service quality in public systems represents a critical challenge in the context of increasing demographic pressure and economic uncertainty. Pension systems, such as the Italian system managed by INPS, can be interpreted as complex service infrastructures whose quality depends on financial sustainability, efficiency, and ...

Multi‐Scale Transformer Framework for Explainable Medium‐Term Household Energy Forecasting

open access: yesEngineering Reports, Volume 8, Issue 9, September 2026.
A leak‐safe Multi‐Scale Transformer (MSTr) fuses daily, weekly, and seasonal patterns via gated pooling to forecast electricity demand over 1–4 weeks. MSTr outperforms LightGBM/LSTM and naive baselines across horizons while offering interpretable scale contributions and feature effects.

Enhancing Identifiable Variational Autoencoder in the Presence of Missing Values and Auxiliary Covariates for Spatio‐Temporal Ozone Modeling

open access: yesEnvironmetrics, Volume 37, Issue 6, September 2026.
ABSTRACT The formation of ground‐level ozone follows complex nonlinear photochemical processes that depend on multiple environmental factors and have strong spatio‐temporal structures. Environmental data used to study these dynamics usually originate from multiple sources, including in situ monitoring stations and satellite observations.
