A new mixed multiplicative-additive model for seasonal adjusment [PDF]

open access: yes
Usually, seasonal adjustment is based on time series models which decompose an unadjusted series into the sum or the product of four unobservable components (trendcycle, seasonal, working-day and irregular components).

Analysis of the Christian Town of Arima in 16th and 17th century [PDF]

open access: yes, 2017
From the 16th to the 17th century, the reports of Society of Jesus missionaries who visited Japan fill the blanks of Japanese history in the Middle Ages.

A Reassessment of Petrochemistry of ~1.2 Ga Tonalitic Rocks of the Northern Tugela Terrane, Natal Metamorphic Belt, South Africa: Further Constraints on the Evolution of This Belt

open access: yesGeological Journal, EarlyView.
Our petrochemical studies on ~1.2 Ga granitoids of the Natal Metamorphic Belt, South Africa, do not suggest any property similar to Phanerozoic‐style subduction‐related granitoids. Plot of Kotongweni Tonalite in Y versus Sr diagram (after Moyen 2011), note that most samples have Sr/Y < 50.

Comparison of ARIMA model, ARIMA-BPNN model and ARIMA-ERNN model in predicting incidence of dengue in China

open access: yes
Abstract Background Dengue remains an enduring public health concern across tropical and subtropical regions of China, with a disproportionate burden observed in economically disadvantaged areas. Dengue outbreaks can overwhelm healthcare systems and impede economic development.

Efficient In-Database Maintenance of ARIMA Models

open access: yes, 2011
Forecasting is an important analysis task and there is a need of integrating time series models and estimation methods in database systems. The main issue is the computationally expensive maintenance of model parameters when new data is inserted. In this paper, we examine how an important class of time series models, the AutoRegressive Integrated ...

Impact of China's National Volume‐Based Procurement Policy on Cost, Volume, and Market Structure: An Interrupted Time‐Series Analysis of Montelukast Sodium

open access: yesHealth Care Science, EarlyView.
Using ARIMA‐based interrupted time‐series analysis, this study reveals that China's NVBP policy significantly reduced daily costs and enhanced affordability, driving generic substitution and the elimination of low‐quality products. Additionally, non‐winning manufacturers adopted strategic pricing behaviors to segment the market.

Household Consumption Intentions by Income Group During Monetary Policy Easing and Tightening

open access: yesInternational Journal of Finance &Economics, EarlyView.
ABSTRACT We investigate how the monetary policy interest rate affects Brazilian households' consumption intentions under two distinct regimes: monetary easing and tightening cycles. Using data from low‐ and high‐income households, we assess both the magnitude and the dynamics of this relationship.

Prediction with univariate time series models: The Iberia case [PDF]

open access: yes
In this paper we model the monthly number of passengers flying with the Spanish airline IBERIA from January 1985 to December 1992 and predict future values of the series up to October 1994.

Risk Forecasting in Shipping Exchange‐Traded‐Fund (ETF) Markets

open access: yesInternational Journal of Finance &Economics, EarlyView.
ABSTRACT This article examines the risk properties of freight‐derivative‐based exchange‐traded funds (ETFs), focusing on the Breakwave Dry Bulk Shipping ETF (BDRY), and evaluates the accuracy of Value‐at‐Risk (VaR) and Expected Shortfall (ES) forecasts across a range of econometric models.

Long short-term memory networks for enhancing real-time flood forecasts: a case study for an underperforming hydrologic model [PDF]

open access: yesHydrology and Earth System Sciences
Flood forecasting systems play a key role in mitigating socioeconomic damage caused by flood events. The majority of these systems rely on process-based hydrologic models (PBHMs), which are used to predict future runoff.
