Degree-Based Topological Indices of Polysaccharides: Amylose and Blue Starch-Iodine Complex

open access: yesJournal of Chemistry, 2021
Starch is a polymer of glucose where alpha-linkages are associated with glucopyranose units. It comprises a mixture of amylose and amylopectin. Furthermore, amylose is a linear chain of hundreds of glucose molecules.

Description of Complex Systems in terms of Self-Organization Processes of Prime Integer Relations

open access: yes, 2005
In the paper we present a description of complex systems in terms of self-organization processes of prime integer relations. A prime integer relation is an indivisible element made up of integers as the basic constituents following a single organizing ...

An arithmetic-geometric mean difference based approach to consistency index and priority vector of pairwise comparison matrices

open access: yes, 2023
Abstract Consistency measure and prioritization elicitation are two important issues for pairwise comparison matrices (PCMs) originating from the Analytic Hierarchy Process (AHP). In this study, a novel consistency index is reported using the difference between arithmetic mean and geometric mean, which is called the arithmetic-geometric mean ...

On Topological Indices of Certain Families of Nanostar Dendrimers

open access: yesMolecules, 2016
A topological index of graph G is a numerical parameter related to G which characterizes its molecular topology and is usually graph invariant. In the field of quantitative structure-activity (QSAR)/quantitative structure-activity structure-property ...

Heuristic rating estimation - geometric approach [PDF]

open access: yes, 2014
Heuristic Rating Estimation (HRE) is a newly proposed method supporting decisions analysis based on the use of pairwise comparisons. It allows that the ranking values of some alternatives (herein referred to as concepts) are initially known, whilst the ...

Effect of Laser Deoxidation on Adhesive‐Bonded Aluminum in an Oxygen‐Free Atmosphere

open access: yesAdvanced Engineering Materials, EarlyView.
This study investigates laser ablation of aluminum under oxygen‐free conditions. The goal is to produce oxide‐free substrates that enable improved adhesive bonding with epoxy. Optimized laser parameters (90% overlap, 300 µJ) combined with oxide‐free substrates result in the highest tensile strength of the adhesive bond.

CARACTERIZAÇÃO MORFOLÓGICA USANDO DIMENSÕES LINEARES SOBRE OS ATRIBUTOS BIOMÉTRICOS EM SEMENTES DE Annona reticulata (L.) Vell. (ANNONACEAE)

open access: yesCiência Florestal, 2018
Differences in seed morphology may indicate variability within and among plant populations. Seeds of Annona reticulata Vell., Annonaceae were biometrically characterized, came from the Rio Brilhante region, Mato Grosso do Sul state, in a fragmented area ...

Peripheral separability and cusps of arithmetic hyperbolic orbifolds

open access: yes, 2004
For X = R, C, or H it is well known that cusp cross-sections of finite volume X-hyperbolic (n+1)-orbifolds are flat n-orbifolds or almost flat orbifolds modelled on the (2n+1)-dimensional Heisenberg group N_{2n+1} or the (4n+3)-dimensional quaternionic ...
