A quantitative sharpening of Moriwaki's arithmetic Bogomolov inequality [PDF]
A. Moriwaki proved the following arithmetic analogue of the Bogomolov unstability theorem. If a torsion-free hermitian coherent sheaf on an arithmetic surface has negative discriminant then it admits an arithmetically destabilising subsheaf.

We study the possibility of computing cryptographic primitives in a fully black-box arithmetic model over a finite field F . In this model, the input to a cryptographic primitive (e.g., encryption scheme) is given as a sequence of field elements, the honest parties are implemented by arithmetic circuits that make ...

What distinguishes computer arithmetic is its intrinsic relation to technology and the ways things are designed and implemented in a digital computer. This comes from the fact that the value of a particular way to compute, or a particular algorithm, is ...

Towards a theory of arithmetic degrees [PDF]
The aim of this paper is to start a systematic investigation of the arithmetic degree of projective schemes as introduced by D. Bayer and D. Mumford. One main theme concerns itself with the behaviour of this arithmetic degree under hypersurface sections.

Hilbert arithmetic as a Pythagorean arithmetic: arithmetic as transcendental [PDF]
The paper considers a generalization of Peano arithmetic, Hilbert arithmetic as the basis of the world in a Pythagorean manner. Hilbert arithmetic unifies the foundations of mathematics (Peano arithmetic and set theory), foundations of physics (quantum mechanics and information), and philosophical transcendentalism (Husserl’s phenomenology) into a ...

This study presents an infrared monitoring approach for direct laser interference patterning (DLIP) combined with a convolutional neural network (CNN). Thermal emission data captured during structuring are used to predict surface topography parameters.

Effect of Oxygen Content on Surface and Subsurface Integrity During Turning of Ti–6Al–4V
This study examines how oxygen content in the ambient atmosphere affects the surface and subsurface properties of Ti–6Al–4V during turning. Results show that oxygen does not influence surface roughness. However, machining in an extremely high vacuum‐adequate atmosphere increases surface hardness by up to 7.8% and induces compressive residual stresses ...

Effect of Laser Deoxidation on Adhesive‐Bonded Aluminum in an Oxygen‐Free Atmosphere
This study investigates laser ablation of aluminum under oxygen‐free conditions. The goal is to produce oxide‐free substrates that enable improved adhesive bonding with epoxy. Optimized laser parameters (90% overlap, 300 µJ) combined with oxide‐free substrates result in the highest tensile strength of the adhesive bond.
