Strategic Sustainability Assessment in the Construction Sector: A Multidimensional Index for Decision Making in Decentralised Economies

open access: yesBusiness Strategy and the Environment, EarlyView.
ABSTRACT This article evaluates the average business performance of construction firms across Spain's 17 autonomous communities within a decentralised governance framework. A regional composite sustainability index is developed, integrating economic, social and environmental intensity indicators.

Stochastic pulse coded arithmetic

open access: yes2000 IEEE International Symposium on Circuits and Systems. Emerging Technologies for the 21st Century. Proceedings (IEEE Cat No.00CH36353), 2002
Among the different pulse codification techniques, stochastic pulse codification has its own arithmetic based on the similarity between Boolean algebra and statistical algebra. Summation and multiplication are the two basic arithmetic operations treated in depth in the literature.

Optimization of Lithium‐Ion Battery Circular Economy in Electric Vehicles in Sustainable Supply Chain

open access: yesBattery Energy, Volume 4, Issue 2, March 2025.
Lithium batteries constitute a pivotal component in electric vehicles (EVs) owing to their rechargeability and high‐power output capabilities. ABSTRACT Lithium batteries constitute a pivotal component in electric vehicles (EVs) owing to their rechargeability and high‐power output capabilities.

Playing with fire? A mean‐field game analysis of fire sales and systemic risk under regulatory capital constraints

open access: yesCanadian Journal of Statistics, EarlyView.
Abstract We analyze the effect of regulatory capital constraints on financial stability in a large homogeneous banking system using a mean‐field game (MFG) model. Each bank holds cash and a tradable risky asset. Banks choose absolutely continuous trading rates in order to maximize expected terminal equity, with trades subject to transaction costs ...

Isoperimetric inequalities on slabs with applications to cubes and Gaussian slabs

open access: yesCommunications on Pure and Applied Mathematics, EarlyView.
Abstract We study isoperimetric inequalities on “slabs”, namely weighted Riemannian manifolds obtained as the product of the uniform measure on a finite length interval with a codimension‐one base. As our two main applications, we consider the case when the base is the flat torus R2/2Z2$\mathbb {R}^2 / 2 \mathbb {Z}^2$ and the standard Gaussian measure

Novel Area Optimization in FPGA Implementation Using Efficient VHDL Code

open access: yesJurnal Rekayasa Elektrika, 2012
A new novel method for area efficiency in FPGA implementation is presented. The method is realized through flexibility and wide capability of VHDL coding. This method exposes the arithmetic operations such as addition, subtraction and others.

Clinical assessment of mocravimod as a victim of drug–drug interactions via CYP3A4 metabolism and transporters

open access: yesClinical Pharmacology in Drug Development, EarlyView.
Abstract Mocravimod, a novel immunomodulator targeting sphingosine‐1‐phosphate receptor (S1PR), is being developed as a maintenance treatment for patients with acute myeloid leukemia undergoing allogeneic hematopoietic cell transplantation. Preclinical data suggested that cytochrome (CYP) 3A4 is the primary enzyme involved in mocravimod metabolism.
