Empowering Patient Autonomy: The Role of Large Language Models (LLMs) in Scaffolding Informed Consent in Medical Practice

open access: yesBioethics, Volume 40, Issue 2, Page 183-193, February 2026.
ABSTRACT The principle of (respect for) patient autonomy has traditionally emphasized independence in medical decision‐making, reflecting a broader commitment to epistemic individualism. However, recent philosophical work has challenged this view, suggesting that autonomous decisions are inherently dependent on epistemic and social supports.

Transdermal Delivery of Botulinum Toxin for the Management of Oily and Acne‐Prone Skin Using TDA Technology

open access: yesJournal of Cosmetic Dermatology, Volume 25, Issue 2, February 2026.
ABSTRACT Background Intradermal botulinum toxin injections have been shown to reduce sebaceous gland activity and improve skin texture in patients with oily and acne‐prone skin. However, needle‐based application is associated with discomfort and potential side effects.

On Multilevel Energy‐Based Fragmentation Methods

open access: yesInternational Journal of Quantum Chemistry, Volume 126, Issue 3, January 30, 2026.
We investigate the working equations of energy‐based fragmentation methods and present ML‐SUPANOVA, a Möbius‐inversion‐based multilevel fragmentation scheme that enables adaptive, quasi‐optimal truncations to efficiently approximate Born‐Oppenheimer potentials across hierarchies of electronic‐structure methods and basis sets.

Employing Machine Learning for New Particle Formation Identification and Mechanistic Analysis: Insights From a Six‐Year Observational Study in the Southern Great Plains

open access: yesJournal of Geophysical Research: Atmospheres, Volume 131, Issue 1, 16 January 2026.
Abstract We present a supervised machine learning (ML) framework to automatically identify new particle formation (NPF) events and analyze key atmospheric factors associated with their occurrence and growth. We applied ML to detect NPF events using start time and particle concentrations across size ranges, while identifying atmospheric variables ...
