Rolling and Burning to Transform Woody Species Thickets and Restore Abandoned Farmland

open access: yesEcological Management &Restoration, Volume 27, Issue 2, May 2026.
ABSTRACT Woody plant encroachment is a key issue that needs to be addressed when restoring abandoned farmland previously used for livestock grazing. In a conservation context, woody shrubs can be problematic if they prevent the establishment of a desired vegetation composition and structure by outcompeting other species for light, nutrients and water ...

DSP Approach to the Design of Nonlinear Optical Devices

open access: yesEURASIP Journal on Advances in Signal Processing, 2005
Discrete-time signal processing (DSP) tools have been used to analyze numerous optical filter configurations in order to optimize their linear response. In this paper, we propose a DSP approach to design nonlinear optical devices by treating the desired

Finding an ARMA(p,q) model given its spectral density or its correlogram

open access: yes, 2014
An ARMA model can be fully determined based on either its spectral density, or its correlogram, i.e. a formula for computing the corresponding k th serial correlation for any integer k. In this article we describe how to find, given one of these three ways of specifying the model, the other two.

A pilot study on anti‐reflux mucoplasty with valve as novel endoscopic therapy for gastroesophageal reflux disease

open access: yesDEN Open, Volume 6, Issue 1, April 2026.
Abstract Background and aims Endoscopic anti‐reflux therapies like anti‐reflux mucosectomy (ARMS) and anti‐reflux mucosal ablation have shown efficacy for gastroesophageal reflux disease (GERD) in systematic reviews and meta‐analyses. Anti‐reflux mucoplasty (ARM‐P), a refinement of ARMS, incorporates immediate closure of the resection site to reduce ...

A Functional Central Limit Theorem for an ARMA(p, q) Process with Markov Switching

open access: yesCommunications for Statistical Applications and Methods, 2013
Abstract In this paper, we give a tractable sufficient condition for functional central limit theorem to hold in Markovswitching ARMA ( p , q ) model. Keywords: Functional central limit theorem, Markov switching ARMA ( p , q ) process, φ -mixing. 1.

Spatial–Temporal Graph Learning for Taxi Origin–Destination Demand Prediction

open access: yesTransactions on Emerging Telecommunications Technologies, Volume 37, Issue 4, April 2026.
To address the challenges of origin–destination semantic differentiation and data sparsity in taxi origin–destination demand prediction, we propose a multilevel continuous‐time dynamic node‐ based attention network (MCNAT). The results show that MCNAT outperforms the base model in all metrics.
