Variation among British isolates of Armillaria mellea
Transactions of the British Mycological Society, 1982Twenty-one British isolates of Armillaria mellea could be assigned to one of three groups based on rhizomorph growth habit in soil. Each group of isolates showed differences in pathogenicity to conifer seedlings and in esterase isozyme patterns. The results suggest that the groups are three members of the A. mellea complex.
