The effect of oxygen on the aromatization of methane over the Mo/HZSM-5 catalyst

open access: yes, 1999
The aromatization of methane over a Mo/HZSM-5 catalyst was carried out in the presence of oxygen. It is shown that the addition of a small amount of oxygen is beneficial to improve the durability of the catalyst.

Pretreatment Effects of Conventional and Reactive Extrusion on LLDPE Waste Pyrolysis

open access: yesPolymer Engineering &Science, EarlyView.
Schematic overview of the pyrolysis study using original and pretreated LLDPE waste samples. Pretreatment was performed via twin‐screw extrusion at 450°C: without additives (REX), with peroxide (REX‐RO2), or with polypropylene (REX–PP). All four samples underwent pyrolysis at 450°C–475°C for 15–45 min.

Optimizing acupuncture dosing for hormone therapy‐induced hot flashes in cancer patients: A regression‐based analysis and narrative review

open access: yesPrecision Medical Sciences, EarlyView.
Our analysis reveals a clear dose–response relationship between acupuncture sessions and the reduction of hormone therapy‐induced hot flashes. A threshold of approximately 10 sessions establishes a robust quantitative benchmark for achieving clinically meaningful neuro‐autonomic modulation and symptom relief.

Multimodal targets of (‐)‐α‐thujone mediating avoidance behavior of a stored‐products pest, Tribolium castaneum, in response to irritant stimuli

open access: yesPest Management Science, EarlyView.
We identified four kinds of target molecules against (‐)‐α‐thujone associating avoidance behavior in Tribolium castaneum, indicating multimodality. Abstract BACKGROUND The reciprocal evolutionary processes among phytophagous insects and host plants involve host shift in the herbivorous insects in response to defense chemicals, such as plant‐derived ...

Dimethyl‐, Diethyl‐, and Propylene Carbonates: An Emerging Class of Green Solvents for Organic Synthesis

open access: yesThe Chemical Record, EarlyView.
This review highlights recent advances in the use of organic carbonates, dimethyl carbonate (DMC), diethyl carbonate (DEC), and propylene carbonate (PC), as solvents in organic synthesis. Based on over seventy studies from the past 6 years, it shows their application in different organic reaction types, emphasizing their role in safer and more ...

Computational Insight into Methane–Methanol Coupling and Aromatization over Metal-Modified ZSM-5: From Mechanism to Catalyst Screening

open access: yesChem & Bio Engineering
ZSM-5 zeolite modified by molybdenum is one of the promising catalysts for methane dehydroaromatization (MDA). The introduction of methanol to couple with methane over metal-modified ZSM-5 can facilitate the MDA reaction, but the reaction mechanism ...

Maternal, childhood and adolescent influences on Leydig cell functional capacity and circulating INSL3 concentration in young adults: Importance of childhood infections and body mass index

open access: yesAndrology, EarlyView.
Abstract Background The constitutive Leydig cell hormone insulin‐like peptide 3 (INSL3) is considered a good estimate of the adult Leydig cell functional capacity and appears to remain relatively consistent throughout adult male life, only gradually declining into old age.
