Synthesis of a Tetraepoxy Nanobelt and Its Reductive Aromatization Attempts
Hydrocarbon nanobelts have recently attracted tremendous interest. Herein, we report our recent progress towards the synthesis of a newly designed hydrocarbon nanobelt tetrabenzo[10]cyclacene, which can be regarded as a sidewall fragment of the (10,0 ...

Functional Aromatic Polyamides [PDF]
We describe herein the state of the art following the last 8 years of research into aromatic polyamides, wholly aromatic polyamides or aramids. These polymers belong to the family of high performance materials because of their exceptional thermal and mechanical behavior.

We show that without other further assumption than affine equivariance and locality, a numerical integrator has an expansion in a generalized form of Butcher series (B-series) which we call aromatic B-series. We obtain an explicit description of aromatic B-series in terms of elementary differentials associated to aromatic trees, which are directed ...

Application of aromatization catalyst in synthesis of carbon nanotubes
In a typical chemical vapour deposition (CVD) process for synthesizing carbon nanotubes (CNTs), it was found that the aromatization catalysts could promote effectively the formation of CNT.

In many Pd‐catalyzed cross‐couplings, catalyst performance has been found to be limited by catalyst activation. Methylnaphthyl (MeNAP) palladium trifluoroacetate dimers are presented as easy‐to‐store and easy‐to‐handle precursors, which rapidly activate under reaction conditions, even when only weakly coordinating, non‐reducing nucleophiles are present.

Regioselective De Novo Synthesis of Phenolic Isoprenoids Grifolin and Neogrifolin
The total synthesis of biologically and pharmacologically important phenolic isoprenoids, grifolin and neogrifolin, was developed through simple allylation and cyclization procedures using only ethyl acetoacetate, ethyl crotonate, and farnesyl bromide as

Halocyclization of alkynoic thioester and oxidative aromatization in one-pot
This paper reports the halocyclization of alkynoic thioesters, as S-nucleophiles, with N-halosuccinimide, followed by oxidative aromatization with the same reagent for the one-pot synthesis of thiophenes, important heterocycles exhibiting remark-able ...

The effect of acidity on olefin aromatization over potassium modified ZSM-5 catalysts
The transformation of olefin to aromatics over ZSM-5 catalysts with different K-loadings has been investigated both in a continuous flow fixed-bed reactor and in a pulse microreactor.

Aromatization of ethylene over zeolite-based catalysts
Light aromatic compounds (BTX: benzene, toluene and xylenes) represent an important class of building blocks in the chemical industry. Currently, light aromatics are obtained exclusively from fossil feedstock, whose utilization is associated with serious
