ACR3 as a Key Regulator Antimicrobial Lipopeptide Synthesis and Efflux in Bacillus velezensis HN‐1

open access: yesMolecular Plant Pathology, Volume 27, Issue 6, June 2026.
Lipopeptides are natural antibiotics produced by Bacillus velezensis. Mutation of acr3 led to the complete loss of antimicrobial activity. Following the biological assays for validation, we found ACR3 protein may serve as a master switch of lipopeptides synthesis regulation, and control transmembrane transport of lipopeptides by the ABC pathway ...

Using PEDOT Film Modified Electrode to Monitor Iodide and Its Enhancement of Arsenite Sensing

open access: yesInternational Journal of Electrochemical Science, 2011
Iodide was investigated using poly(3,4-ethylenedioxythiophene)/glassy carbon electrode (PEDOT/GCE) as an monitoring tool. When this electrode was scanned to the positive potential (+0.7 V) in the presence of 6x10-3 M, the redox couple was gradually ...

The Pho4 transcription factor mediates the response to arsenate and arsenite in Candida albicans

open access: yes, 2015
Arsenate (As (V)) is the dominant form of the toxic metalloid arsenic (As). Microorganisms have consequently developed mechanisms to detoxify and tolerate this kind of compounds.

Adsorption of arsenite and arsenate on amorphous iron hydroxide

open access: yes, 1982
Adsorption isotherms in solutions with ionic strengths of 0.01 at 25°C were measured over the arsenite and arsenate concentration range 10−7−10−3 M and the pH range 4–10. At low concentrations, these isotherms obeyed equations of the Langmuir type.

ARSENITE OF BROMINE IN DIABETES MELLITUS. [PDF]

open access: yesJournal of the American Medical Association, 1886
In July, 1884, an article appeared inThe Journal of the American Medical Association, written by Austin Flint, Jr., on " Diabetes Mellitus". In this article he recommended for medicinal treatment the liq. brom. arsenitis, first suggested by Clemens. During the last year I have had opportunity to try this drug in a considerable number of cases.

Arsenite oxidation in Ancylobacter dichloromethanicus As3-1b strain: Detection of genes involved in arsenite oxidation and CO 2 fixation

open access: yes, 2012
The aim of this study was to characterize a facultative chemolithotrophic arsenite-oxidizing bacterium by evaluating the growth and the rate of arsenite oxidation and to investigate the genetic determinants for arsenic resistance and CO2 fixation.

Single crystal Raman spectroscopy of selected arsenite, antimonite and hydroxyantimonate minerals

open access: yes, 2011
This thesis concentrates on the characterisation of selected arsenite, antimonite, and hydroxyantimonate minerals based on their vibrational spectra. A number of natural arsenite and antimonite minerals were studied by single crystal Raman spectroscopy ...
