Floristic Diversity and Indicator Species Analysis Along Altitudinal Gradients of the Upper Indus Basin, Northern Pakistan

Altitudinal gradients substantially influence floristic diversity and indicator species. Three vegetation communities were identified, each shaped by specific environmental variables. Mantel test shows that altitude, Ca, K, Na are key drivers of species diversity and association.

Spatiotemporal Dynamics of Plant–Soil–Enzyme Interactions in Intertidal Wetlands

Co‐Encapsulation of Purslane Seed Oil and Tarragon Essential Oil and Investigating the Use of It as a Natural Preservative and Functional Compound in Burger Formulation

This study developed purslane seed oil–tarragon essential oil (PO–TE) nanocapsules using gum Arabic (GA) and whey protein isolate (WPI) as wall materials. The co‐encapsulation significantly enhanced oxidative stability, antimicrobial activity, and polyunsaturated fatty acid retention in beef burgers during refrigerated storage.

Polyphenol‐rich herbal extracts stimulate proton secretion in human parietal cells (HGT‐1) via activation of extra‐oral bitter taste receptors (TAS2Rs). Plasma neutrophil elastase(ELANE) was markedly elevated in patients with alcohol use disorder, indicating a dysregulated protease‐antiprotease inflammatory balance characterised by decreased SERPINA3. ELANE showed excellent diagnostic specificity(AUC = 0.8683), supporting its potential utility as a neuroinflammatory biomarker for AUD.

Innovative Biopesticides: Nanoformulation of Mentha Piperita L. and Satureja Montana L. Essential Oils for Controlling the Cotton Bollworm, Helicoverpa armigera Hub.

Chitosan‐based nanocapsules loaded with Mentha piperita and Satureja montana essential oils were evaluated for insecticidal efficacy against Helicoverpa armigera larvae. Nanoformulations demonstrated controlled release, prolonged toxicity, and sublethal effects, offering an eco‐friendly alternative to conventional pesticides.
