Some pharmacological studies on Artemisia herba-alba (Asso.) in rabbits and mice
Journal of Ethnopharmacology, 1995The aqueous extract of Artemisia herba-alba Asso. (Compositae) produced an initial hyperglycaemia which was followed by hypoglycaemia in normoglycaemic and alloxan-treated rabbits and mice. The extract (0.39 g/kg) significantly increased gastrointestinal transit time and the reaction time to thermal stimuli but had no effect on the activity of alkaline

Antifungal activity of Artemisia herba-alba on various Fusarium
Phytothérapie, 2016Essential oils have many therapeutic properties. In herbal medicine, they are used for their antiseptic properties against infectious diseases of fungal origin, against dermatophytes, and those of bacterial origin. The aim of our study is to determine the antifungal effect of essential oils of Artemisia herba-alba on some pathogenic fungi.

The sesquiterpene lactones from two populations of Artemisia herba alba
Phytochemistry, 1983Abstract The sesquiterpene lactones of two additional Israeli Artemisia herba alba populations, one from Elat the other from Mizpe Ramon, were investigated. While the Elat population was devoid of any sesquiterpene lactones, the Mizpe Ramon variety contained herbolides A, B and C desacetylherbolide A. Furthermore, it was found to contain the hitherto

PHYSIOLOGICAL RESPONSES AND TOLERANCE OF ARTEMISIA HERBA-ALBA TO WATER DEFICIT
Acta Horticulturae, 2010The present study deal with the physiological behavior of Artemisia herba-alba (Asso.) under drought stressed conditions imposed by suppression of soil irrigation. Four-month-old seedlings were subjected for 36 days to water deficit at 40% and 70% of field water capacity (FC) and control pots were maintained at 100% FC throughout the entire growth ...

Suppression of Annuals by Artemisia Herba-Alba in the Negev Desert of Israel
The Journal of Ecology, 1977SUMMARY In the Northern Negev (Israel) annual plants are more numerous on south-facing slopes dominated by Zygophyllum dumosum than on north-facing slopes dominated by Artemisia herba-alba. On the latter slopes annuals are fewer in the vicinity of A. herbaalba than elsewhere. In the year following experimental removal of Artemnisia plants the number of
