Arterial switch and resection of hepatic hemangioendothelioma

open access: yesThe Annals of Thoracic Surgery, 1995
We report on the management of a neonate undergoing arterial switch for transposition of the great arteries and concomitant resection of a hepatic infantile hemangioendothelioma. A preoperative aortogram demonstrated the arterial supply of the hepatic hemangioendothelioma.

Cross‐Scale Hierarchical Targeted Delivery System Based on Small‐Scale Magnetic Robots

open access: yesAdvanced Robotics Research, EarlyView.
This article reviews a cross‐scale hierarchical targeted delivery system that integrates magnetic continuum robots and magnetic microrobots. By combining rapid long‐range navigation with precise microscale targeting, the system overcomes key limitations of single‐scale approaches.

59. Switch arterial: experiencia y resultados tras 20 años

open access: yesCirugía Cardiovascular, 2010
la corrección fisiológica de la transposición completa de los grandes vasos (D-TGA) fue sustituida definitivamente en la década de 1990 por el switch arterial, técnica no exenta tampoco de morbilidad.

Superior vena caval thrombosis after a neonatal arterial switch procedure

open access: yesAnnals of Pediatric Cardiology, 2020
Superior vena cava (SVC) and inferior vena cava obstructions were once well-documented complications from the Mustard repair for D-transposition of the great arteries (TGA), occurring in 10%–40% patients; however, they are rarely documented with the ...

Perivascular Matrix Densification Dysregulates Angiogenesis and Activates Pro‐Inflammatory Endothelial Cells

open access: yesAdvanced Science, EarlyView.
Perivascular matrix densification promotes the emergence of aberrant endothelial tip cells (ATECs) that invade and persist within fibrotic microenvironments. Using in vivo lineage tracing and a human microvessel model, this study shows that fibrous matrix cues destabilize VE‐cadherin–mediated junctions to gate TGF‐β signaling, inducing a pro ...

Phosphorylation‐Facilitated CKB Lactylation At K11 By GCN5 Enhances Creatine Kinase Activity and Mitigates Neuronal Damage After Cerebral Ischemia‐Reperfusion

open access: yesAdvanced Science, EarlyView.
This study uncovers hierarchical coordination between K11 lactylation and S199 phosphorylation of CKB in cerebral ischemia‐reperfusion injury. Such dual modifications potentiate CKB enzymatic function, remodel energy metabolism, alleviate oxidative stress and neuronal damage, and represent a viable therapeutic target for stroke treatment.

Beyond the usual challenges, a case of LV summit PVCs ablation in child with ASO for D-TGA

open access: yesBMC Cardiovascular Disorders
Premature ventricular contractions (PVCs) are a common finding in patients with surgically repaired congenital heart defects including transposition of the great arteries (D-TGA). While often asymptomatic, PVCs can sometimes lead to palpitations, dyspnea,

ZDHHC9‐Mediated Palmitoylation of ACSL4 Drives Ferroptosis in Diabetes Mellitus–Induced Erectile Dysfunction

open access: yesAdvanced Science, EarlyView.
ABSTRACT Diabetes mellitus‐induced erectile dysfunction (DMED) is a highly prevalent complication among diabetic patients; however, its underlying pathogenic mechanisms remain incompletely understood. Metabolic disorder is a hallmark of diabetes, yet its precise contribution to DMED progression is not well defined.

Myocardial ischemia following arterial switch operation: An uncommon etiology

open access: yesAnnals of Pediatric Cardiology, 2012
Myocardial ischemia following arterial switch operation (ASO) usually occurs due to coronary ostial narrowing that might result from technical failure in translocation of the coronary arteries to the neoaorta.

G3BP1 Succinylation at K413 is Critical for Cardiac Function by Modulating PI3K‐AKT‐mTOR Signal Axis

open access: yesAdvanced Science, EarlyView.
Schematic illustrating the impact of G3BP1 succinylation at K413 on cardiac function. In the healthy human heart, G3BP1 succinylation maintains homeostatic mTOR signaling. In patients with dilated cardiomyopathy (DCM) and heart failure (HF), G3BP1 de‐succinylation induces RagA expression and disrupts the binding of the TSC1/2 complex, leading to the ...
