Superior Clinical and Economic Value of IL‐23 Inhibitors Versus Adalimumab Biosimilars in Plaque Psoriasis

open access: yesInternational Journal of Dermatology, EarlyView.
A bicentric retrospective real‐world study (N = 616) comparing IL‐23 inhibitors (guselkumab, risankizumab, tildrakizumab) with adalimumab biosimilars in moderate‐to‐severe plaque psoriasis. It presents PASI90 response at Weeks 16 and 52, NNT, and cost‐effectiveness (incremental cost per responder, CE plane, CEAC/CEAF).

PDE4 Inhibition in Dermatologic Disease: Impacts Beyond Inflammation

open access: yesInternational Journal of Dermatology, EarlyView.
This graphical abstract demonstrates the comprehensive mechanism of PDE4 inhibition in skin physiology. By increasing intracellular cAMP and activating PKA, PDE4 inhibitors exert pleiotropic effects, including immune modulation, pigmentation regulation, barrier enhancement, sensory neuron modulation, and improved wound healing with reduced fibrosis ...

Prevalence and Characteristics of North American Indigenous Inflammatory Skin Disease: A Systematic Scoping Review

open access: yesInternational Journal of Dermatology, EarlyView.
This scoping review synthesizes evidence on atopic dermatitis (AD), psoriasis, and hidradenitis suppurativa in North American Indigenous peoples across 49 studies and 63 clinical trials. Findings reveal consistently high disease burden in AD, marked underrepresentation in trials and guidelines, and five evidence‐based recommendations to advance ...

The Psoriasis–Eczema Interface: Clinical Classification and Therapeutic Implications From a Bicentric Experience

open access: yesInternational Journal of Dermatology, EarlyView.
The psoriasis–atopic dermatitis interface: four clinical phenotypes (coexisting, overlapping, biologic‐induced eczema, dupilumab‐induced psoriasis) across 105 patients from two Italian tertiary centers. JAK inhibitors achieved the highest response rates across all phenotypes, reflecting their mechanistic rationale targeting shared JAK‐STAT downstream ...

Evaluation of Discontinuation and Re‐Initiation of Biologic Therapies in Psoriasis: Real‐World Data

open access: yesInternational Journal of Dermatology, EarlyView.
The cumulative probability of remaining relapse‐free following biologic therapy discontinuation was 35.6%, 19%, 11.6%, and 9.1% at 6, 12, 18, and 24 months, respectively. Prolonged relapse durations were associated with a low baseline PASI score, the presence of a PASI 90 response at discontinuation, the absence of triggering factors, and the use of IL‐
