Surgical indications for the various joints affected are discussed, and the results obtained after treatment are reported.

Unilateral hemochromatosis arthropathy on a neurogenic basis.
The Journal of rheumatology, 1998We describe a 42-year-old man with right hemiplegia from cerebral palsy who presented with chronic left arm pain. Examination revealed 12 active joints, predominantly in the left hand. Radiographs showed characteristic changes of an advanced secondary osteoarthritic process in the left hand and only minimal changes on the right.

[Neurogenic osteo-arthropathies due to chronic alcoholism].
La Clinica ortopedica, 1977Recognised forms of neurogenic osteo-arthropathy, their aetiology and pathogenesis are reviewed. Seven unusual cases are presented. Chronic alcoholism was a possible pathogenetic factors in these cases of neurogenic osteo-arthropathy from persistant drunkeness and not osteo-arthropathy occurring in alcoholics. Thus a new clinical entity is proposed.
