Neurogenic arthropathy with subclinical inherited neuropathy: A case report.

We report here a case demonstrating Charcot Joints at the lumber spine and ankle joints. The patient was a 27-year-old female, presenting the characteristic clinical and radiologic features of neurogenic arthropathy, but with no overt neurologic symptoms. In addition, she had a past history of fractures without pain, and her parents were consanguineous

Neurogenic para-osteo-arthropathies (NAOP) are characterized by ectopic juxta-articular peri- or para-osseous ossifications. Diagnosis of these conditions is often delayed. They are frequently associated with central neurological disorders and are rarely observed in cases of peripheral neuropathy.
