Comparative Study of Trans‐Axillary Approach and Delto‐Pectoral Approach to the Treatment of Ideberg Types I and II Scapular Glenoid Fractures

open access: yesOrthopaedic Surgery, Volume 17, Issue 5, Page 1349-1358, May 2025.
The upper image shows the delto‐pectoral approach, and the lower image shows the axillary approach. The latter has a concealed incision and does not require excessive separation of muscle and soft tissue, minimizing trauma. ABSTRACT Objective Clinically, simple glenoid fractures are less prevalent, and surgical treatment of anterior glenoid fractures ...

Arthroscopic Treatment of Acute Tibial Avulsion Fracture of the Posterior Cruciate Ligament Using the TightRope Fixation Device

open access: yesArthroscopy Techniques, 2014
Avulsion fracture of the posterior cruciate ligament from its tibial insertion is a rare condition. Early surgical treatment has been regarded as necessary, but the optimal surgical technique remains unclear.

Posterolateral Tibial Plateau Fractures in Adult Anterior Cruciate Ligament Avulsion Effect on Postoperative Knee Function

open access: yesOrthopaedic Surgery, Volume 17, Issue 5, Page 1359-1368, May 2025.
ABSTRACT Background The impact of posterior lateral tibial plateau fractures (PLTPFs) on knee joint stability after anterior cruciate ligament (ACL) reconstruction has garnered widespread attention. However, limited literature exists on the co‐occurrence of ACL tibial avulsion fractures (ACLAFs) and PLTPFs. The objective of this study is to investigate

A biomechanical comparison of the double-row suture fixation and compression screw techniques in the treatment of lateral malleolar avulsion fracture

open access: yesAsia-Pacific Journal of Sports Medicine, Arthroscopy, Rehabilitation and Technology
Background: Avulsion fractures of fibula occur with ankle sprains. The purpose of this study was to compare the biomechanical characteristics of double-row suture versus compression screw techniques in treatment of lateral malleolar avulsion ...

Can Knee Arthroscopy Be Considered Entirely Safe for Patients Over 50 Years Old With no Risk of Osteonecrosis? Case Series and Literature Review on Post‐Artrhoscopy Osteonecrosis of the Knee (PAONK)

open access: yesOrthopaedic Surgery, Volume 17, Issue 5, Page 1378-1388, May 2025.
Post‐arthroscopy osteonecrosis is a rare complication occurring in 0.82% of cases, primarily affecting patients over 50 with degenerative meniscal tears. Early detection through MRI and conservative treatment, including bisphosphonates and weight‐bearing avoidance, proved effective in most cases, while some required surgical intervention.
